Only Murders in the Building is giving fans another glimpse at its star-studded sixth season, with Olivia Colman joining the growing lineup of talent heading to London for the Hulu murder mystery comedy.

The upcoming season will take Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), and Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin) far from their familiar home at the Arconia as they investigate a new mystery in England. While Hulu has yet to reveal a premiere date, production has been underway in London since May.

Season 6 will consist of 10 episodes and continues the series’ tradition of bringing major guest stars into its ever-expanding world. Among the newly announced names are Colman, Peter Capaldi, David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, and Kathryn Hunter.

Colman’s involvement was recently confirmed through a behind-the-scenes video shared by the show’s official social media accounts. The Oscar-winning actress appears alongside returning stars Meryl Streep, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, offering fans their first glimpse at her presence in the new season.

Streep is also set to return as Loretta, following her role in Season 5. Meanwhile, the new British-heavy ensemble further expands the series’ impressive guest-star roster.

The central mystery of Season 6 remains closely guarded, although the Season 5 finale appeared to point toward Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) as the latest potential victim. The character, a celebrated podcaster who helped inspire Oliver, Mabel, and Charles to launch their own podcast, could become central to the trio’s next investigation.

Beyond the mystery, fans are already getting glimpses of the cast’s experience filming in London. Nicola Coughlan recently marked the end of her Season 6 journey with a behind-the-scenes selfie, showing off a red hairstyle reminiscent of her Bridgerton character, Penelope Featherington.

“Oh @onlymurdershulu how I’ve loved being a part of you!” Coughlan wrote while teasing that her character’s story had officially wrapped. She also joked about the trio trading the Arconia for “Big Tesco,” although she admitted that detail may have been entirely made up.

The update suggests that filming is moving toward the finish line, but Hulu has not yet announced when viewers can expect the new episodes.

With Colman, Coughlan, Capaldi, Tennant, Whittaker, Streep and a long list of British acting heavyweights joining the returning trio, Season 6 is shaping up to be one of the show’s most ambitious chapters yet.

For now, the mystery surrounding the new victim, the London setting and the roles of the newly announced stars remains under wraps. More details are expected as production continues toward the Season 6 premiere.
