The Most Unhinged Outlander Season 2 Titles Decoded By Fans

With less than a month until Outlander: Blood of My Blood returns, Starz has given fans plenty to speculate about by unveiling all ten episode titles for Season 2. While titles rarely reveal the full story, longtime Outlander viewers know that even the smallest details can contain important clues about what lies ahead.

Season 1 ended with both of the show’s central love stories facing uncertain futures. Claire Fraser’s parents, Henry and Julia Beauchamp, were running toward the standing stones at Craigh Na Dun while being pursued by Arch Bug. At the same time, Jamie Fraser’s parents, Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie, found themselves caught in the growing tensions that could reshape the Highlands forever.

The premiere episode, “Remembrance Day,” immediately stands out. The title is strongly associated with honoring soldiers who served in World War I, making it difficult to ignore its connection to Henry. Since Henry and Julia’s storyline is rooted in the early 20th century, many fans believe the title could hint at Henry returning to his own time period after the dramatic events of the Season 1 finale. If true, the reunion between Henry and Julia may be shorter than viewers hoped.

The second episode, “The Veil of Time,” appears to be the most direct reference to time travel. Throughout the Outlander universe, the standing stones have served as gateways between centuries. The title suggests that the mystery surrounding time travel could become even more important in Season 2, potentially revealing new rules or secrets about the phenomenon.

Then comes perhaps the most unusual title of the season: “Rabbits Don’t Swim.” While its meaning remains unclear, Outlander has a history of using symbolic language and hidden meanings. Fans will likely spend weeks trying to decipher what this seemingly random phrase could represent.

“A Portion of My Soul” feels much more emotional. The title hints at sacrifice, devotion, or a deep personal connection. It could easily relate to Brian and Ellen’s romance, which became one of the most beloved aspects of the first season. As war and family conflicts loom over their future, their bond may be tested in unexpected ways.

“Forgive Me, Father” raises even more questions. The phrase could reference religion and confession, but it may also point toward Brian’s complicated relationship with his father, Lord Lovat. Either interpretation suggests that a major mistake, betrayal, or difficult decision could play a central role in the episode.

Other titles, including “Small Mercies,” “Heart of the Highlands,” and “The Dance,” seem to balance the season’s darker themes with moments of hope, community, and celebration. Given the franchise’s love of weddings, gatherings, and Highland traditions, “The Dance” could become one of the season’s lighter episodes before tensions rise again.

Perhaps the most intriguing title is “Another Man’s Shadow.” The phrase suggests jealousy, rivalry, or the lingering influence of someone from the past. Whether it involves a romantic complication or a family conflict remains to be seen.

Finally, the season concludes with “Twelfth Night,” a title that immediately evokes Shakespeare’s famous comedy of mistaken identities, disguises, and unexpected revelations. If the reference is intentional, viewers may be in for a finale packed with surprises.

Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Gets Massive Release Date Update

While episode titles rarely tell the whole story, they offer fascinating clues about the emotional journeys awaiting both the Beauchamps and the Frasers. If these hints are accurate, Season 2 could deliver more time-travel mysteries, heartbreaking separations, and dramatic twists than ever before.
