AMC’s The Audacity is expanding its Silicon Valley world for Season 2, with Usman Ally joining the series as a new series regular. The casting comes as the darkly comic drama moves deeper into production for its second eight-episode season, which is scheduled to return in 2027.
Ally will portray Byron Zandani, a senior Silicon Valley lawyer who spends much of his time dealing with ethical crises and navigating morally complicated decisions. His character is described as composed and thoughtful but increasingly worn down by the relentless demands of powerful tech executives.
The actor joins an ensemble led by Billy Magnussen, Sarah Goldberg, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch, Simon Helberg, Rob Corddry, Meaghan Rath, Paul Adelstein, Everett Blunck, Thailey Roberge and Ava Marie Telek.

New faces join Season 2
Ally isn’t the only addition to the second season. Miriam Shor is also joining the cast as Randy Flemming, the previously unseen FBI agent whose presence was teased during the Season 1 finale. Randy is described as a sharp and fearless investigator who takes pleasure in pursuing her targets.
Jess McLeod, who appeared as hacker Harper in Season 1, has also been elevated to series regular for the new season.
The new additions come after the Season 1 finale left several storylines open, including JoAnne Felder’s encounter with an FBI agent. Shor’s Randy Flemming will now bring that mysterious figure into the center of the story, while Ally’s Byron introduces another perspective from the legal side of Silicon Valley.
What is The Audacity about?

Created, written and executive produced by Emmy and Peabody Award winner Jonathan Glatzer, The Audacity is set inside the increasingly chaotic world of Silicon Valley.
The series follows Duncan Park, played by Billy Magnussen, an ambitious data-mining CEO attempting to turn information and influence into enormous power and profit. Around him is a world populated by wealthy tech founders, AI laboratories, psychiatrist-gurus, bio-hacked entrepreneurs and young people subjected to increasingly extreme forms of optimization.
Rather than presenting Silicon Valley as a straightforward technology success story, the series uses dark comedy to examine the consequences of its ambitions. Questions surrounding privacy, personal data, influence, ethics and the desire to control the future sit at the center of the drama.
The first season featured eight episodes and premiered on AMC and AMC+ on April 12, 2026. AMC ordered Season 2 on March 9, 2026, well before the series made its television debut—a strong early vote of confidence in Glatzer’s satirical take on the technology industry.
When will The Audacity Season 2 premiere?
Production on Season 2 is underway in Vancouver, Canada. AMC announced in June that filming had begun on the eight-episode season, with the series set to return to AMC and AMC+ in 2027.
With Usman Ally now joining the cast alongside Miriam Shor and the returning ensemble, Season 2 is positioned to broaden the show’s exploration of Silicon Valley’s power struggles and ethical gray areas.
For viewers who finished Season 1 wondering who was behind the mysterious FBI encounter—and what consequences would follow—the new season appears ready to push those unresolved questions further.
