Three Atlanta singers remain in the race on The Voice Season 30, and their musical backgrounds may surprise fans

Three singers with ties to the Atlanta area are still competing on Season 30 of The Voice, each taking a different route through the NBC singing competition.

Marcus Ladden Jr., Chari and Kavi Nyx have all made it past the Blind Auditions, but their journeys have included different coach choices and key moments in the Battle Rounds. With the Blind Auditions now over, the three contestants are moving forward with hopes of winning the competition.

Ladden, 19, graduated from Pebblebrook High School in Mableton in 2025. He initially joined Team Queen Latifah but later moved to Team Kelly Clarkson after Clarkson used her Steal to keep him in the competition.

Chari, who moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, earned a four-chair turn during her Blind Audition and chose Queen Latifah as her coach. She later defeated Ladden in the Battle Rounds to remain on Team Queen.

Meanwhile, 17-year-old Kavi Nyx impressed three coaches with her Blind Audition and chose to join Team Kelly Clarkson.

Marcus Ladden Jr. brought both vocal ability and musical theater experience to Season 30 of The Voice.

The 19-year-old performed Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me a River during his Blind Audition, earning chair turns from Queen Latifah and Kelly Clarkson. He ultimately chose Team Queen, with both coaches recognizing his skills as a singer and entertainer.

Ladden graduated from Pebblebrook High School in Mableton in 2025, where he participated in musical theater productions. He was also a member of Sonic Edge, an a cappella group that won the International Championship of High School A Cappella in New York in 2024.

His journey took a major turn during the Battle Rounds, when he faced Chari in a performance of On My Own. Queen Latifah selected Chari as the winner, leaving Ladden at risk of elimination.

However, Kelly Clarkson stepped in with her Steal, giving Ladden another chance to compete. He now continues his journey as a member of Team Kelly.

Chari made a strong first impression on all four coaches with her Blind Audition performance of Get Here by Oleta Adams.

Her performance earned a four-chair turn, allowing her to choose between Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Riley Green. She ultimately selected Team Queen.

Chari later faced Ladden in the Battle Rounds, where the two singers performed On My Own. Queen chose Chari to advance, allowing her to remain on the team.

The singer has a long history of performing in the Atlanta area. According to her official website, she moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles and studied classical music and musical theater during high school before continuing her training.

Nyx performed Billie Eilish’s Wildflower during the Blind Auditions, earning three chair turns from the coaches. She ultimately chose Kelly Clarkson, joining Team Kelly for the next stage of the competition.

Her audition added another young talent with Georgia connections to Season 30. With the Blind Auditions complete, Nyx will need to continue developing her performances as the competition moves forward.

Are The Voice Blind Auditions over?

Yes. The Blind Auditions for Season 30 ended earlier in October, with all four coaches completing their teams.

The season premiered on September 21, 2026, with its first three episodes airing across three consecutive nights. The coaching panel includes returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, alongside first-time coaches Riley Green and Queen Latifah.

Where can you watch The Voice?
