The cast of Marshals kicked off Season 2 in style, trading the Utah set for Las Vegas as they celebrated the Western drama’s return at the Raiders-Chiefs game on Oct. 4.
Luke Grimes, Ash Santos, Arielle Kebbel and Brecken Merrill joined showrunner Spencer Hudnut at Allegiant Stadium, where they marked the Season 2 premiere with fans and enjoyed the NFL matchup between the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs.
The celebration came just hours after the second season premiered on CBS and Paramount+.
‘Marshals’ Cast Takes Over the Tailgate

Before kickoff, the stars gathered at a Marshals-themed tailgate party, which featured a recreation of East Camp, a Western-style lounge, customized belt buckles and plenty of merchandise from the series.
The cast also took the field before the game, waving to the crowd before heading to their seats.
Merrill, who plays Kayce Dutton’s son Tate, was especially excited about the experience. The young actor told PEOPLE that he was having the best day of his life after meeting his hero, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III.
Kebbel, meanwhile, showed her support for Kansas City by wearing a Chiefs T-shirt. When asked whether she was a fan of the team, she explained that her support was also connected to her love of Taylor Swift, whose husband, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, is one of the team’s biggest stars.
Kebbel even wore a hat featuring the words “Getaway Car,” a reference to Swift’s hit song, and joked that she hoped the pop star might be somewhere in the crowd.
The Cast Is Feeling More Like a Team
Even without Swift making an appearance, Kebbel remained enthusiastic about the day — and about returning for another season of Marshals.
She compared coming back for Season 2 to returning for her sophomore year of college, saying the cast and crew now feel more like a team.

Grimes, who leads the series as Kayce Dutton, shared a similar sentiment. He praised the people behind the show and said they enjoy spending time together.
“The energy’s a lot more playful than I think people would realize,” Grimes said.
That lighter atmosphere off-camera contrasts with the increasingly intense storylines unfolding on the series.
Season 2 Picks Up After a Major Cliffhanger
Season 2 begins immediately after the events of the first-season finale.
At the end of Season 1, Belle, played by Kebbel, and Cal, portrayed by Logan Marshall-Green, were ambushed and shot at by gunmen later revealed to have been hired by Tom Weaver.
Meanwhile, Kayce had sent Tate away to Texas with Tom, setting up the central conflict of the new season. Andrea, played by Santos, had also decided to take a job based in Washington, D.C.
The Season 2 premiere wastes little time escalating those storylines, delivering an intense episode that leaves a lasting impact on Kayce and his family.
Season 2 Promises an Even Bigger Story

The cast members say viewers can expect the new season to raise the stakes considerably.
Santos teased that the series has been “charged” up for Season 2, with the intensity increased significantly compared with the first season.
Hudnut likewise suggested that the scope of the drama has expanded, describing the new season as feeling “even bigger than season 1.”
With Kayce facing new threats and his personal life becoming increasingly complicated, the cast and creative team appear ready for Marshals to take its story in a more intense direction.
New episodes of Marshals air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
