C.T. Tamburello Welcomes Jordan Wiseley’s Return Bid Ahead of The Challenge Season 42

Chris “C.T.” Tamburello has weighed in on Jordan Wiseley’s campaign to return to The Challenge, offering both praise and playful trash talk ahead of the franchise’s latest season.

Wiseley, one of the competition’s most accomplished champions, recently sparked speculation about a comeback by posting clips of his intense training sessions on social media, accompanied by the hashtag #43—a clear nod to his hopes of competing in Season 43. The move mirrors Tamburello’s own public push to return after his disappointing exit in the previous season.

Speaking ahead of the Season 42 premiere, Tamburello acknowledged Wiseley’s dedication and believes few competitors have the ability to dominate the game the way he can.

“At least he’s training for it,” Tamburello said. “I honestly think if Jordan never took breaks, he’d be breaking records. I don’t know if he’d surpass Darrell Taylor’s four consecutive championships, but if anyone could do something like that, it’d probably be Jordan—or maybe one of these younger players.”

Despite the praise, the four-time champion couldn’t resist ending his assessment with a laugh, joking, “But forget Jordan.”

Tamburello also reflected on his own return to the series, admitting that the confident promise he made after his Season 41 elimination was more about securing another invitation than guaranteeing peak physical form.

“I said, ‘I’ll be back. Wait until you see me next time.’ That was a complete lie,” he joked. “I was just trying to get cast again.”

Rather than relying solely on fitness, Tamburello revealed he planned to lean on relationships with newer cast members, including Will Gagnon and Izzy Fairthorne, hoping strong social connections would help keep him in the game longer.

Whether that strategy pays off remains to be seen when The Challenge Season 42 premieres on August 5 on Paramount+. Meanwhile, Wiseley’s public training campaign has only fueled anticipation that another showdown between two of the franchise’s greatest competitors could be on the horizon.
