OUTLANDER season 6 has been filming recently ahead of its return to screens. But have any of the cast members dated?
Outlander fans love the time-travelling drama, which stars Sam Heughan, 40, and Caitriona Balfe, 41, at its centre. However, many may be wondering whether the romance also translates off-screen – here’s all you need to know about this.
Outlander fans are currently waiting for a new season of the time-travelling drama.
Season six is already filming and is set to pick up with the characters at home in Fraser’s Ridge.
However, given the love story between Jamie Fraser (Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Balfe) is such an essential part of the show, many will be wondering if any of the stars are dating in real life as well.
Heughan and Balfe are not in a real relationship, despite their chemistry on screen.
Balfe is married to music producer Tony McGill after they tied the knot in 2019.
Heughan has not confirmed whether he is currently in a relationship or not.
However, in the past, he has been linked to stars like MacKenzie Mauzy and Amy Shiels.
Speaking about how he and Balfe had never dated, the star opened up to E! in 2016.

He said: “We’re not together, sorry to break people’s hearts!
“But they like to try and, I don’t know, maybe replicate the Claire and Jamie story.
“I think it would be difficult for us to work together and be together.”
The other couple at the centre of Outlander is Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger MacKenzie (Richard Rankin).
In the show, the pair are married and have a young baby together.
However, sadly for fans they are also not dating in real life either.
Rankin is not thought to currently be in a relationship but has been linked to actor Cara Theobold in the past.
Skelton on the other hand is thought to be in a long-term relationship with American actor Jeff Gum.
The pair reportedly met on the set of the film Day of the Dead: Bloodline.
None of the other stars of Outlander appears to be dating either.
Many are either married or tend to keep their personal lives out of the spotlight.
Actors like Duncan Lacroix and Tobias Menzies have never spoken openly about their relationship statuses.
While Graham McTavish is married to Gwen McTavish and they live together in New Zealand with their children.
