The Men in Kilts are back in action as Sam Heughan teased Season 2 alongside co-host and former Outlander costar Graham McTavish.

The Scots are down under in New Zealand as the travel series shifts gears from Scotland to the island nation. “We made it!! The ‘Men in Kilts’ are down under!” Heughan shared on social media alongside two photos of him and McTavish. “So lucky to be exploring this incredible island with its unique heritage. I can’t wait to share this epic journey with you. Let the adventures begin!”

Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip with Sam and Graham follows the friends as they explore the culture, traditions, historical sights, and more. In Season 1, the men focused on Scotland, delving into sports, whisky, clothing, and dance, among other things.

Season 2 will follow Sam and Graham as they explore the Scottish influence of New Zealand across eight episodes. The tease from Heughan comes just in time as Outlander fans await the show’s highly-anticipated sixth season in which he stars alongside Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, Richard Rankin, and more.

Just as Season 1 of Men in Kilts was airing, TV Insider asked Heughan and McTavish where they’d like to travel to should the show return for a second season. Both joked about warmer climes than Scotland, and also brought up New Zealand as an option. “There’s plenty more to do in Scotland,” McTavish said at the time. “We’ve barely scratched the surface to be honest. But yeah, other parts of the world. Sam was mentioning India, which I knew had a Scottish connection, but I didn’t realize quite as much. America, obviously. Canada. New Zealand.”

“Australia, New Zealand,” Heughan echoed. Well, it seems they got their wish, much to fans’ excitement. Stay tuned to see what other teases Heughan and McTavish might share as they hit the road in New Zealand, and catch up with Season 1 on demand and via the Starz app.
