Maybe you’re not across the hockey romances that have aired over the last year. But you’ve probably still heard plenty about it. This week, behind-the-scenes shots of Off Campus season two went far and wide across the Internet. In Toronto, the cast and crew called it a wrap on shooting for the final time yesterday, as photos showed them hugging it out on their last day of filming. Obviously, the shots don’t give much of a hint about what goes on. But what we did take from it was that Belmont Cameli’s character, Garrett Graham, is fitted this season.

Cameli was seen walking beside his co-star Ella Bright (Hannah Wells) in typical gear for an ice hockey captain. The white tee, brown loose trousers and white trainers is a variation of what all male uni students already have, living across the pond or not. Nothing revolutionary. But that’s before the Kith jacket. Cut from cotton and featuring an embroidered patchwork design, the blouson style hangs loosely off his frame and finishes at his waist. It’s more interesting than usual but without looking OTT, and makes the outfit a little more hype-y instead of full-on college bro.

In the show, Graham has the type of style you’d expect. He wears a lot of sports jerseys, and hoodies and joggers to wear with his top off. He’s often in his varsity jacket, for the rom-com of it all. But there were hints to him being a player in the style game in season one with one leather bomber, that now features heavily in horny TikTok edits. But a piece from one of menswear’s streetwear kings? Sure, stylish guys have been wearing the brand for years, but that doesn’t mean its commonly known by the masses. And certainly not one I’d expect a hockey player to endorse. That’s a big upgrade. (One that’ll stretch his student budget, too).

And there’s good reason why this piece should be in your wardrobe, whether you’re a fan of the show or not. It’s light fabric makes it a great layer to pull out in autumn, and the jacket’s little details will do a lot of the heavy lifting for your fit. You can get away with not having to think too hard about what to style it with. In fact, you could get away with copying Cameli’s look here without being too obviously referential, or you make it more hype-y by pairing it with the matching trousers. Either way, it’s going to get lots of wear.

Sources say that season two seems to be based off the third novel in the series, The Score, which moves the focus off Graham and Hannah’s romance, and puts it on the one between Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn) and theatre student Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla). Still, Graham obviously needs to look good too, and Cameli’s clearly thinking the same. He’s pulling out the Kith. He’s a changed man. Clearly, love has a hand in your wardrobe, too.
