The internet rumor mill has officially been brought to a screeching halt as Prime Video’s Off Campus heartthrob Belmont Cameli steps up to clear the air once and for all regarding his relationship with on-screen partner Ella Bright. Speaking out to completely extinguish wild speculation about a supposed behind-the-scenes falling out, the 28-year-old actor showered 19-year-old costar Bright with glowing praise during a recent high-profile interview with E! News on Saturday, September 12. As millions of devoted fans continue to obsess over their sizzling on-screen romance as Garrett Graham and Hannah Wells, Cameli made his absolute admiration for his leading lady crystal clear, stating: “Everything about Ella makes the perfect Hannah [Wells]. I mean, she’s fantastic, she’s an incredible actress and she’s the best person for that character by far.”
The heartwarming words arrive on the heels of a massive fan panic that took over social media after sleuths noticed Cameli had archived or removed several joint photos featuring Bright from his personal Instagram grid. The digital clean-up instantly triggered a wild frenzy across fandom spaces, with worried viewers convinced that a fierce off-screen feud had erupted between the beloved lead actors. However, Ella Bright skillfully stepped in to silence the gossip mill by dropping a nostalgic film photo dump on Monday, September 7, capturing candid behind-the-scenes moments from their intense production run in Vancouver, Canada. While Bright wasn’t directly framed alongside Cameli in the carousel, sharp-eyed fans went wild spotting Cameli mingling with fellow cast members Khobe Clarke, Mika Abdalla, Jalen Thomas Brooks, and Stephen Kalyn. The comments section instantly flooded with relieved reactions, with one ecstatic fan writing, “To all the haters that say Belmont and Ella aren’t friends look at this post!!!” and another adding, “Thank you, Ella for proving the haters wrong and that you are all still close.”
Reunited on Set: Season 2 is Officially Underway
If the photo dump wasn’t enough to put the conspiracy theories to bed, the dynamic duo completely shattered any lingering doubts just hours later by reuniting on camera. On Tuesday, September 8, Bright and Cameli shocked and delighted the fandom by stepping in front of the lens together for an exciting production update straight from the Off Campus Season 2 set in Vancouver.
Appearing cheerful and completely unified as Cameli stood right behind his costar, Bright introduced the video by warmly addressing the massive global wave of love following the show’s explosive first season. “Hi everyone, it’s Ella and Belmont from Off Campus,” Bright beamed to the camera. Cameli chimed in with deep gratitude, sharing: “We just wanted to say that we’ve been so overwhelmed by the response to the first season. You guys made it what it is and we genuinely can’t thank you enough.” Bright then sent the internet into an absolute tailspin by confirming that cameras are officially rolling for the highly anticipated second installment, adding with a grin: “We cannot wait for you to see what’s coming.” Bringing the cute update to a playful close, Cameli and Bright blew simultaneous kisses to the camera while teasing, “Trust us, it’s going to be worth the wait.” With feud rumors officially squashed, a stellar sophomore season on the horizon, and their undeniable chemistry shining brighter than ever, Off Campus stars Belmont Cameli and Ella Bright prove they are an unstoppable force both on and off the screen.
