CHARLIE Hunnam leaves little to the imagination as he strips completely naked in Netflix’s chilling new TV series about serial killer Ed Gein.
The Sons of Anarchy star shocked fans with the racy scenes, teasing a dark and gritty transformation for the actor.
The dark debut trailer for the upcoming Netflix show Monster: The Ed Gein Story shows the 45-year-old British actor depicting the true story of the American man who went on a murder spree before his arrest in 1957.
It is the latest season of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s Monster anthology series.
The series dives into the twisted life of Ed Gein, the real-life murderer and body snatcher whose gruesome crimes inspired Hollywood horror classics like Psycho, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Silence of the Lambs.
Netflix promises a “disturbing but unmissable” drama that charts Gein’s upbringing, including his horrific killing spree in 1950s Wisconsin.
The first look trailer shows Charlie completely nude as he bares his full body and ripped abs.
In disturbing scenes, the trailer begins with Laurie Metcalf’s role as Ed’s mother, Augusta Gein.
She said: “Eddie, you’re a mess. Only a mother could love you.”
It also teases Charlie, in character as Gein, fixating over one of his female victims whom he later wears as a flesh suit.
And the shocking discoveries police made inside his farmhouse.
Talking about his role, Charlie told Tudum: “I wanted to get as close as possible to who Ed was, to do him justice, and for this thing to feel authentic.
“This is going to be the really human, tender, unflinching, no-holds-barred exploration of who Ed was and what he did.
“But who he was being at the center of it, rather than what he did.”
TikTok star turned actress Addison Rae popped up in the trailer too – but not everyone’s thrilled.
Her cameo sparked a wave of backlash online, with one critic blasting: “Influencers aren’t actors.”
Another begged: “Not her acting again, please.”
Both cutting comments racked up more than 2,000 likes, as fans piled in.
One simply wrote “Pass”, while another sighed: “Remember when Ryan Murphy hired people based on talent, not trend?”
Monster: The Ed Gein Story is available on Netflix on Friday 3rd October.
