aylor Swift‘s name is being dragged into Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni’s messy legal battle. TMZ reported that Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, subpoenaed the singer as a witness in the ongoing case.
Swift’s team criticized the subpoena, stating the singer has no close connection to the film aside from her song “My Tears Ricochet.” According to the outlet, a spokesperson for the Grammy winner called the subpoena an attempt to generate “tabloid clickbait.”
Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see ‘It Ends With Us’ until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history.
Other Stars To Be Summoned?

Swift may not be the only one getting summoned. PEOPLE reported that along with the singer, actor Hugh Jackman could also be served with a subpoena.
The source claimed that anyone with knowledge of the situation would be ordered to testify, regardless of their celebrity status.
However, another source maintained that Swift and Jackman are “not privy to anything going on.” The insider added that the rumored subpoenas are merely “smoke and mirrors trying to distract from the allegations against Baldoni.”
Lively sued Baldoni in December for alleged sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign. The actor countersued in January and accused Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of defamation and extortion.
Baldoni also alleged that Lively took advantage of her friendship with Swift, pressuring him to accept the actress’ rewrites. In the complaint, Baldoni claimed that Swift “began praising Lively’s script. Baldoni understood the subtext: he needed to comply with Lively’s direction.”
Fans React To Swift’s Shocking Subpoena

Reports of Swift being subpoenaed drew mixed reactions online, with some fans showing support while others offered criticism.
One commenter wrote, “It is a tabloid clickbait. Taylor’s lawyer will challenge the subpoena so a judge will need to see if it is necessary or not. The subpoena can be dismissed if there is no relevancy with the case.”
Another chimed in, “Taylor has nothing to worry about since she did nothing wrong. Taylor Swift’s deposition will be short. Taylor’s testimony will be straightforward. Taylor is not worried, but everyone else is.”
One user noted, “Either Taylor Swift was used by Blake Lively or she knew what was going on. Maybe she should choose her friends wisely in the future.”
While another lamented, “This whole thing is just a disaster. Ain’t nobody gonna look good after this.”
Lively and Baldoni’s trial is scheduled for March 2026.
