Phillip Schofield has been spotted reuniting with wife Steph after his admission over his affair with a younger colleague on This Morning earlier this year.

The star, 61, stepped down from ITV and This Morning after he confessed to the relationship which took place while he was still married to Steph. His wife was said to have been “very angry” following the revelations but is reported to now be on “good terms” with him.

Steph, who is the mother of Schofield’s two grown-up daughters, was a huge support to her husband of 20 years when he came out in March 2020 but during his bombshell interview with the BBC following his admission of the affair, he admitted that she was enraged by his actions during the “unwise but not illegal” relationship.

Today, as writes the Mirror, Phil and Steph were seen walking along the street in west London with their daughter Molly, 29. Former Broomcupboard host Phillip looked deep in thought as he made his way on the walk, looking smart in a light blue sweater and blue jeans, with a coat over his shoulder and his head down.

It’s the first time he’s been seen since This Morning’s lacklustre results at the recent National Television Awards, which saw the daytime TV show miss out on the Daytime Award for the first time in years. Molly and Steph both looked stylish in leather jackets, with the younger Schofield sporting ripped jeans, trainers and pair of trendy sunglasses.

During the BBC interview following his resignation from This Morning, Phil admitted he had been experiencing suicidal thoughts, describing himself as ‘utterly broken’, adding Molly, and younger daughter Ruby, 27, were afraid to leave his side.

It’s now been reported that Phillip has been visiting the family home in Oxfordshire, where he used to live, recently as tensions are said to have eased. It’s also been reported that Phillip has attended several therapy sessions recently.

A source said: “It’s when he is with them that Phil appreciates what actually matters in his life and he is able to smile,” reports MailOnline .

The source went on to add that the therapy sessions have helped him come to terms with “losing his job and best friend”.

They said: “That’s what he is mainly doing right now, reflecting on what he did wrong and trying to come to terms with his new life. It has all been an incredible shock for him and he is struggling to get his head around it.”
