Queen Latifah may have a difficult decision to make in the next episode of The Voice Season 30. A new Battles sneak peek shows Team Adam singers Dakota Cohen and Destinee Monroe delivering a powerful performance of Evanescence’s Bring Me to Life, leaving all four coaches impressed. With only one Steal remaining, Queen must decide whether to give one of the singers another chance.
The Battles continue Monday night as Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green decide which contestants will advance to Cut Week. In the preview, Dakota and Destinee go head-to-head with the rock hit, earning a standing ovation and making Adam’s decision far from easy.

Queen Latifah Praises Dakota and Destinee’s Performance
Queen was quick to show her excitement after the performance, describing how she was moving around in her chair while watching the pair sing.
“That was incredible,” she said, praising the singers for their stage presence, vocal delivery, and ability to work together. She also admitted that choosing between them would be difficult and said she wanted to see more performances like theirs as the competition continued.
Riley Green was equally impressed, pointing to the audience’s reaction as proof of the performance’s impact. He praised Dakota’s standout vocal moments and compared Destinee’s stage presence to that of a singer performing in front of 20,000 people at a rock concert.
Riley then left the difficult decision to Adam, who responded sarcastically, “Cool. Thanks. Super, super, super helpful.”
Riley joked back that choosing the winner was not his responsibility, telling Adam to turn his chair around.
Kelly Clarkson Reveals Which Singer She Prefers
Kelly also praised both contestants but offered a closer look at what made their performances different.
She complimented Destinee’s strong presence from the opening verse, while describing Dakota’s approach as more tender and emotionally layered. Kelly particularly liked the contrast between Dakota’s delivery in the verse and the power he brought to the chorus.

Although she leaned slightly toward Dakota, Kelly made it clear that Destinee had also impressed her.
“If I had a Steal, it wouldn’t matter who he chose. I would take the other,” Kelly added, explaining that she would have wanted whichever singer Adam did not select.
Adam Levine Faces a Tough Decision
As their coach, Adam had the final say. He praised Dakota for combining a distinctive style with vocal power, even comparing part of his sound to Miley Cyrus, whom he described as having one of the best voices on the planet.
Adam also highlighted Destinee’s exceptional vocal strength, calling it a superpower and identifying it as one of her biggest advantages.

He then praised both contestants for their work, saying there would be nobody like them on any other team.
With Kelly out of Steals and Queen Latifah holding the only remaining one in this matchup, the outcome could determine whether the losing singer gets another opportunity to compete.
Will Adam choose Dakota or Destinee, and will Queen use her last Steal to save the other contestant? Viewers will find out when The Voice Season 30 continues Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The episode will be available to stream on Peacock the following day.
