Evansville singer Kenna Elpers has reunited with fellow The Voice Season 30 contestant Joe Henley for a stripped-down acoustic version of Riley Green and Ella Langley’s hit Don’t Mind If I Do. The new performance comes after Elpers’ heartbreaking elimination from the NBC singing competition, and fans are already calling for the two country singers to record more music together.

The pair previously performed the song during the Battle Round, delivering a simple, guitar-driven rendition that highlighted their distinctive voices and natural harmonies. Their performance impressed all four coaches, but Green ultimately chose Henley as the winner, ending Elpers’ journey on the show.
Now, the singers have given fans another chance to hear their voices together outside the competition, and the response has been enthusiastic.
Fans Want Kenna Elpers and Joe Henley to Record a Duet

“I need a song from both of you ASAP,” one fan commented.
Another wrote, “You guys should record this song together!!”

Some fans also revisited the Battle Round results, arguing that Elpers deserved another chance in the competition. “Neither should have gone home,” one viewer wrote, reflecting the disappointment surrounding her elimination.
Henley has also earned strong support from viewers who believe his distinctive country voice could take him all the way to the finale. One fan commented that his voice catches listeners from the very first note, while another praised Elpers for helping her duet partner shine without losing the beauty of her own vocals.
The latest acoustic performance has only strengthened the calls for a collaboration, with fans eager to hear more from the two singers beyond their time on The Voice.
Riley Green Faced a Difficult Decision During Their Battle
Elpers and Henley originally performed Don’t Mind If I Do during the Season 30 Battles, singing the song by Green and Ella Langley in front of Green himself. The coach paired the two Team Riley artists for the performance, working with them alongside Battle Advisor Carly Pearce.
Kelly Clarkson praised Elpers’ tone, comparing her quick vibrato to a beautiful butterfly and likening her vocal style to Grammy-winning bluegrass singer Alison Krauss. She also complimented Henley’s rich voice, comparing his tone to country legend Randy Travis.

Adam Levine admitted that Henley’s voice stood out to him, while Queen Latifah praised the power of his vocals. However, Green made it clear that both contestants had impressed him.
“Kenna, I don’t have a problem saying this now. I think Joe would agree with me. I don’t think he could do what he’s doing here if it wasn’t for you,” Green told Elpers, acknowledging her hard work and contribution to their performance.

He also praised Henley for improving significantly during rehearsals.
Ultimately, Green selected Henley, explaining that he had a natural fit for upbeat, traditional country music. Although Elpers did not advance, the Battle gave viewers a memorable performance that has continued to resonate with fans.
