Coronation Street‘s Ryan Thomas nearly treated The Games fans to his own version of The Full Monty tonight (May 10), live from the London Aquatics Centre.
In the second episode of ITV’s star-studded Olympic competition – Kevin Clifton of Strictly Come Dancing, Wes Nelson of Love Island and Rebecca Sarker of Emmerdale also feature – its participants encountered the swimming pool, where they raced and synchronised dives in front of judges.
Leaping from the 7.5 metre springboard platform with his partner Chelcee Grimes, the Celebrity Big Brother winner impressed with the dive itself, but upon resurfacing, the cameras caught Thomas’ trunks halfway down his bum.
“There you go… the moon is shining!” said commentator Chris Kamara.
The Games presenter Alex Scott collared Thomas after leaving the pool, joking how it looked difficult keeping his Speedos on.

He couldn’t believe this wardrobe malfunction had been spotted, laughing: “Oh no! Did the sock fall out?!”
In the grand scheme of things, he really escaped with one there.
Elsewhere on this evening’s show, fellow Corrie cast member Colson Smith did himself proud in the pool after only learning to swim five weeks ago.
He’s spent the last few years tackling many personal challenges, including losing “about 10 stone” while filming on the soap was paused during the pandemic.
“It’s all about keeping motivated, doing the right thing, trying to achieve something every day – that’s kind of what I’ve said to myself,” he explained in 2020. “Making sure no day goes as a waste.”
