The actor expressed his interest in wooing Taylor Swift in a clip posted to Instagram on Wednesday, saying she would quickly forget about her beau Travis Kelce.
Travis Kelce better be on his best behavior, because Sam Heughan is coming for his girl, Taylor Swift.
The Outlander star joked that he plans to steal Taylor from the Kansas City Chiefs player when she brings her Eras Tour to Edinburgh, Scotland, over the weekend. The actor expressed his interest in wooing the singer in a clip posted to Instagram on Wednesday.
He said that he and his costars would be in attendance at the show. “We’re gonna go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland,” the Scottish actor said while wearing his costume for Outlander character Jamie Fraser. “I think most of the cast is going.”

“She obviously doesn’t know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she’s gonna forget all about … him,” Sam said with a pause, “and fall for a man in a ginger wig.”
“How could she resist? She’s gonna shake him off and take me out instead. I’m really excited,” he quipped, while “…Ready For It” played in the background. The actor then captioned the clip, “Welcome to Scotland Taylor. JAMMF is a Swiftie.”
Sam is not far off with this plan. The superstar and her NFL boyfriend also connected after he attended the Eras Tour stop in Kansas City, Mo., in July 2023. He tried to give the singer a friendship bracelet with his phone number, but the plan didn’t go well. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis said on his New Heights podcast.
Fans commented on Sam’s video, giving him ideas and supporting his romantic dream. “Make her a friendship bracelet, Sam – I hear that works,” one fan wrote.
“OMG…you’re dream is coming true…move over Travis,” another fan shared. One fan took things further, tagging Travis in the post, writing: “@killatrav It might be time to grab your passport and a kilt and defend your ladies honor.”
Travis and Taylor began dating during the 2023 NFL season. They kept their relationship out of the spotlight for a few months before making it public in September 2023. According to Page Six, sources have said that the couple have plans to get engaged this summer.
