ITV soap fans are set to see Luke Posner (played by Max Parker) leave Emmerdale in upcoming scenes on the show. After being on the soap for almost two years, Luke is leaving Emmerdale village behind. But, why is Max really leaving the show?
Why is Max Parker leaving Emmerdale?
Max Parker has filmed his final scenes as Luke Posner on ITV’s Emmerdale and fans will soon see his exit from the soap.
Regular soap viewers will know that Luke first appeared on Emmerdale nearly two years ago in August 2019.
It was then that he met Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) at Hotten General Hospital where he works as a cafeteria worker.

Luke and Victoria began to grow closer, but she was shocked to discover he was Lee Posner’s (Kris Mochrie) brother after his death in October 2019.
But, now it seems Luke’s exit is coming just as his involvement in the death of his brother Lee is revealed.
It seems Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) may not have been the sole individual responsible for Lee’s death, with Luke admitting to knocking Lee unconscious not long earlier.
Luke explained he retaliated following his brother’s homophobic attack against him.
He asks his mother Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) to keep the incident a secret, but she soon reveals the truth to Victoria.
In a recent interview Susan Cookson, who plays Wendy on the soap, opened up about the difficult storyline, stating that the revelation leaves Victoria “absolutely devastated”.
She continued: “Morally, Wendy has to do the right thing. Wendy wants Vic to have all the facts so she can make an informed choice about her future.
“It’s a horrible situation – the last thing Wendy wants is to lose another son,” Susan told Inside Soap.
