Taron Egerton Wasn’t Too Excited To Go Completely Naked In Gay S*x Scene In Rocketman

Known for his amazing performance as Eggsy in the superhit Kingsman franchise, Welsh actor Taron Egerton has made a name for himself as the actor to go to for challenging and radically different roles that emerge in the industry. And with so many films under his belt, he welcomes any challenge with open arms. Therefore, when he was given the task of portraying legendary singer Elton John in his biopic Rocketman, he was ready to take on the task, although he didn’t expect to be in his birthday suit for a gay intimate scene with his co-star.

In a past interview, the Tetris star was addressing the experience he went through while he was shooting for the Crocodile Rock singer’s biopic. Naturally, the most curious question popped in front of him, which was related to his controversial gay love-making scene with Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden, who played the role of Elton John’s lover John Reid. While Egerton said that he was well aware of what to expect when he accepted the role, he also said that it wasn’t easy nonetheless. He said:

“I felt Richard’s p*nis … On my leg, we shot a scene where we are both naked on a bed and we are rolling around. I don’t really know how much further we could have gone.” 

But they managed to pull through, and the end result was a revolutionary moment as it became one of the stepping stones for homosexual relationship representation in the film industry.

Outlining the life of one of the greatest musical artists of all time, Rocketman is the adopted name from Elton John’s greatest hit, and thus, it tells the story of the singer’s rise to fame and fortune from the time of his birth. Along the way, it also details the experiences that John went through as a performer, and a gay man living in the 60s and 70s, a time when homosexuality wasn’t understood while also talking about how his life changed when he met his manager John Reid.
