The Heated Rivalry co-stars walked the carpet separately, but that didn’t stop the real-life best friends from meeting up and eventually spending a lot of time together.

The morning after the Met Gala, Hudson was spotted departing The Mark Hotel with his luggage, appearing to head back to work on his upcoming film Apparatus alongside Dylan O’Brien, where production had already been underway in the days leading up to the event.

Hudson later shared a series of behind-the-scenes moments from the glamorous evening on his Threads account. Among the photos was a bathroom selfie with Connor taken during the gala, as well as another playful snapshot showing Connor drinking directly from a faucet at an after-party.

Model and TV personality Alexa Chung also joined in, posting an adorable photo of the pair from the Met Gala festivities.

As fans continued speculating about the close friendship between Hudson and Connor, Hudson responded to a since-deleted social media post urging people to stop “RPFing” them—a reference to creating real-person fictional relationships—making it clear he wasn’t a fan of the shipping rumors surrounding the two friends.

According to Page Six, an insider shared new details about Hudson and Connor’s night at the exclusive after-parties following the Met Gala.

The source claimed the pair were among the last guests to leave the GQ after-party, describing their close friendship as one of the evening’s most noticeable talking points.

The insider said Hudson was first spotted chatting with Olympic gold medalist Alyssa Liu before reconnecting with Connor on an upstairs outdoor terrace.

According to the source, Hudson wanted to keep the night going by having a cigarette and discussing future plans but preferred to avoid the crowded outdoor area, where photographers and fans had gathered. Instead, a small group reportedly gained access to the top of the building, with Hudson later texting Connor to join them.

The same insider claimed the two friends were virtually inseparable throughout the evening.

They were reportedly seen making their way through the party hand in hand, and at one point were even laughing together while sitting on each other’s laps, appearing completely at ease as they enjoyed the celebration.

Hudson and Connor—whose devoted fans have nicknamed them “HudCon”—reportedly stayed out later than almost anyone else, becoming the final guests to leave the GQ after-party before continuing the celebrations at filmmaker Baz Luhrmann’s venue, Monsieur.

Earlier that same evening, Connor also made an appearance at the YSL after-party, changing into a new outfit after wearing a Saint Laurent look on the Met Gala red carpet.

The following day, Tuesday, May 5, Connor was spotted coming and going from his hotel, where photographers captured him returning with fresh fruit and bottled water in hand.
