Tom Daley’s incredibly unsubtle side-eye towards TV presenter Kate Garraway is the moment from The Celebrity Traitors episode two that has social media users spiralling.

While episode one on Wednesday (8 October) saw all eyes on newly appointed and profusely sweating Traitor Alan Carr, last night’s episode (9 October) was all about Tom Daley’s bombastic side-eye.

The former Olympic diver, 31, had already expressed his distrust of Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, 28, whom he suspected of being one of the Traitors (she is, unbeknownst to him, a Faithful).

The knitting pro stated that it was Garaway’s melodramatic responses during the Traitor selection roundtable and throughout episode one’s challenge that led him to be suspicious.

In episode two, as the group of 19 celebrities were taken to a graveyard for the ‘funeral’ of the first celebrity ‘murdered’ by the Traitors, Garraway exclaimed that she was “flabbergasted” by which star had been given the chop.

It was, to the group’s surprise, singer-songwriter Paloma Faith.

As Garraway expressed her shock, Daley shot her the filthiest – and most iconic – side-eye possible.

Later on in the castle, Daley expressed his disdain for the term “flabbergasted” to Alan Carr.

“’Oh my gosh, I’m flabbergasted!’,” he said, imitating Garraway. “Who uses that word?”

To which comedian Carr quipped: “You can’t just call someone a Traitor because they have a better vocabulary than you.”

Tom Daley shared his suspicions of Garraway with her at the show’s first roundtable, with several other celebrities sharing his wariness.

Online, Daley’s hatred of the word “flabbergasted” and serious side-eye has become an instant meme.

“Tom Daley giving Kate Garraway gay side eye has killed me,” wrote one viewer on X, formerly Twitter.

“Can’t stop thinking about how after all these years and all those gold medals, Tom Daley was actually just made for Reality TV,” a second joked.

“Kate Garraway needs to survive the Round Table just so Tom Daley’s one-sided battle with her can keep going,” a third urged.

A fourth wrote: “Tom Daley deserves an Olympic medal for giving Kate Garraway THAT side eye.”

“Tom’s side eye is the most meme-able [moment] of 2025,” another concluded.
