The gripping new trailer reveals a disguised June trading her iconic handmaid red for Martha’s attire as she reflects on the evolution of their garb: from subservience to symbolizing rage and heralding revenge. The fleeting cuts tantalize viewers with displays of unrest; handmaids advancing into conflict, an Aunt in combat, Luke (played by O-T Fagbenle) brandishing a firearm, and notably, the harrowing sight of a handmaid being led to a gallows.
Fans took to social media, probing the fate of the protagonist, with one querying, “Is it June getting executed?” Speculations ran wild on Reddit, where a user dissected the trailer: “There’s a part in the trailer where June is definitely back in Gilead as a handmaid and she looks like she is on stage about to be hung in front of a crowd(I think people of NB). I believe she will be saved before she is hung bc the crowd starts attacking Gilead folks. I think during this attack, Luke will likely be killed.”

In addition, Elisabeth has spilled details on what to anticipate regarding the complex love triangle involving Nick, June, and Luke. In a conversation with Deadline, she divulged: “I do not think she wants a blended family with Luke and Nick. I don’t think she wants them in the same room.”
She continued, highlighting June’s enduring affection for Luke and the need for their relationship to heal: “She also loves Luke, and there is so much there that is beautiful and but they need to rebuild their relationship, Luke and June, and they do.”
