Alex Bowen sent fans into a frenzy on Instagram when he posted a very suggestive selfie.

Fans became convinced the Love Island star had suffered a wardrobe malfunction due to a mysterious bulge on his boxers.

He captioned the post: “Sickest gym I’ve been in for a while.”

One fan wrote: “what’s that poking out of your trousers?”

Another said: “Looks rude that pic.”

And one admitted: “I’m sorry but look at his shorts, anything come to mind.”

But on closer inspection, it appeared the bulge was just the fold on his pocket.

Alex has won a hoard of devoted female fans since starring in Love Island last summer.

But his fiancee Olivia Buckland blasted some of his admirers recently for being rude to her.

Posting on Twitter to her 420k followers, she wrote: “Dear girls wanting a photo with my fiancé, I will happily stand aside and let you have a cuddle and a nice photo together if you want. However the minute you are rude to me – know that my man won’t give you the time of day. That’s his prerogative.”

Fans were quick to show their support, with one writing: “Rightly so xx you’re both amazing I don’t get how people could be rude to you.”
