After months of renovations, delays and unexpected construction problems, Chase and Sarah Morrill finally reached the moment they had been working toward on Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn. The couple’s Waters Run Bed & Breakfast was revealed during the Season 1 finale on August 23, bringing their ambitious renovation project close to completion.
The transformation included finished bedrooms, bathrooms, a library, dining rooms, additional cabins and one of the kitchens. However, with only a month left before the planned Memorial Day soft opening, the team still had plenty of work to finish.

A Race Against the Deadline
The project was running on schedule and within a budget of around $800,000, but the final stretch proved challenging.
Chase and his brother-in-law Ryan Eldridge focused on rebuilding the front deck, including making it wheelchair accessible. They encountered problems with doors that needed to fit flush, as well as areas affected by rot. Because the property would operate commercially, the doors also had to open outward to meet fire-code requirements.
The septic tank created another major obstacle. Groundwater at the installation site repeatedly filled the area, forcing the crew to pump out water before they could backfill the trench and continue the landscaping.
Outside, Sarah worked on transforming the garden patio. She selected plants from a local nursery, including blueberry shrubs and rose bushes, while also restoring old metal furniture for the space.

Rain Creates More Delays
Ashley and Jared “Jedi” Baker took on another outdoor project, building a cedar picket fence. Each piece was stained before installation, but rain slowed the work.
The sloped ground also created a challenge. Chase wanted the fence posts to have an even height across the top despite the uneven terrain.
Inside, the commercial kitchen was finally approaching completion. The crew installed the remaining cooking and cleaning equipment, bringing the property closer to being ready for guests.
With the deadline approaching, Sarah admitted to feeling nervous but ultimately trusted the team and the work they had put into the project.
From Renovation to Reality

One of the final touches was installing the property’s sign, while the renovated horse barn was transformed into a multipurpose venue. Once decorated, the space showed clear potential as a wedding and event venue.
The hard work eventually paid off when friends and family arrived for the soft opening.
The experience also gave Chase and Sarah plenty to reflect on. Asked what they had learned about each other during the demanding renovation, Chase jokingly said, “My wife has expensive taste,” while Sarah felt she had actually scaled back her choices.
The couple also acknowledged how much time and energy they had invested, including working double shifts throughout the project. They expressed their gratitude to the team that helped bring their vision together.
With the renovation finally reaching its major milestone, the next challenge is no longer construction. It is welcoming guests, running the property and turning Waters Run Bed & Breakfast into a successful business.
