A rare family snapshot brought six members of the Bush family together in one frame, and Jenna Bush Hager’s followers were quick to celebrate the special moment.

On Sunday, August 23, the Today With Jenna & Sheinelle co-host shared a carousel of photos on Instagram looking back at moments from the past month. Among the collection was an especially memorable family portrait featuring Jenna, her daughters Mila and Poppy, her twin sister Barbara Pierce Bush, Barbara’s daughter Cora Coyne, and their mother, former First Lady Laura Bush.

The 44-year-old television personality captioned the post with a reference to Taylor Swift’s song “August,” reflecting on memories from the month.

A rare look at three generations of Bush women

The first photo showed Jenna alongside her 13-year-old daughter Mila, 11-year-old daughter Poppy, twin sister Barbara, Barbara’s 4-year-old daughter Cora, and 79-year-old Laura.

The family appeared to be enjoying time together in Kennebunkport, Maine, where Jenna’s recent trip included several family gatherings. Other images in the Instagram carousel captured scenes from the beach, a flower garden and other moments from the vacation.

The photo offered a glimpse at three generations of Bush women and quickly caught the attention of Jenna’s social media followers.

“Beautiful photo of all the ladies in the family!” one follower wrote, while another praised the family portrait and commented on how much the girls have grown.

Others focused on the family resemblance, with one fan remarking that the Bush family’s “genes are strong.”

Another follower simply celebrated seeing the women together, calling the first image a particularly special family photo.

Jenna’s family life has been in the spotlight recently

The family gathering comes during a busy period for Jenna, who has recently shared several personal moments involving her children on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle and social media.

Earlier in August, Jenna celebrated Poppy’s 11th birthday with a photo of her daughter in a garden. She described Poppy as vibrant, funny and deeply loved.

Jenna also recently became emotional while discussing a mother-daughter outing with Poppy. The pair attended an Olivia Dean concert at Madison Square Garden on August 18 as part of Poppy’s birthday celebration. Jenna reflected on the experience during the following day’s episode of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle.

Family has remained a recurring theme for Jenna this month. On August 10, she explained that she had missed the earlier hours of Today because she was returning from Maine, where she had been with her family for her nephew Edward’s baptism.

Jenna and Barbara’s growing families

Jenna is the daughter of former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush. She and her twin sister Barbara are the couple’s only children.

Jenna and her husband, Henry Hager, whom she married in 2008, have three children: Mila, Poppy and 6-year-old son Hal. Barbara and her husband, Craig Coyne, have two children, daughter Cora and son Edward. Barbara and Coyne married in 2018.

The extended Bush family has continued to share occasional glimpses of their gatherings over the years. In July, photos from George W. Bush’s 80th birthday also showed the former president and Laura Bush spending time with their children and grandchildren in Kennebunkport.

For Jenna’s followers, however, the latest Instagram carousel offered something a little different: a rare portrait centered entirely on the women of the family.
