‘Ghosts’ Season 6 Is Underway as Cast Shares New Behind-the-Scenes Photos

The ghosts of Woodstone Mansion are officially back at work.

Ghosts Season 6 is now filming in Canada, and several stars of the CBS supernatural comedy have already offered fans a glimpse of their return to the set. While the show’s regular season will not arrive until midseason, viewers have plenty to look forward to before then, including two hour-long holiday specials.

Sheila Carrasco, who plays Flower, was among the first cast members to celebrate the start of production. Sharing a photo on social media, Carrasco enthusiastically welcomed the new season, giving fans an early look at the cast’s return.

Danielle Pinnock, who portrays Alberta, also marked her first day back on set with a behind-the-scenes snapshot. The actress has continued to keep fans entertained with glimpses into production, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming episodes.

Other cast members have also teased their involvement in Season 6. Betsy Sodaro, who plays basement ghost Nancy, appeared to confirm her return with a playful photo featuring a Canadian bag of Doritos. Carrasco also shared a Polaroid from behind the scenes, offering another small glimpse at the cast as production gets underway.

The new season is especially significant following the dramatic events of the Season 5 finale, which left fans with one major question: What happened to Pete?

Richie Moriarty’s character appeared to make the ultimate sacrifice after using his ghostly ability to travel in order to help save Woodstone Mansion. However, the longer Pete remained away, the more he began to fade, seemingly putting his existence at risk.

The cliffhanger left viewers wondering whether Pete was truly gone for good. Interestingly, some of the latest behind-the-scenes photos appear to feature Moriarty, potentially suggesting that Pete’s story is far from over.

Fans will not have to wait until the regular Season 6 premiere to get answers. CBS is set to air two special episodes this fall, giving viewers an earlier return to the world of Ghosts.

The first will be a Halloween special scheduled for October 27, followed by a Christmas special on December 10. According to showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, the specials will help bridge the gap between the previous season and the new storyline.

Port previously revealed that Season 6 will begin a few months after the events of the Season 5 finale, allowing the series to explore the aftermath of Pete’s disappearance while moving the larger story forward.

For now, the cast’s social media updates are providing just enough material to keep fans guessing without giving away the biggest surprises. With production underway and the holiday specials approaching, Ghosts is already preparing to bring Woodstone Mansion back to life — or whatever passes for life among its supernatural residents.

Ghosts returns with its Halloween special Thursday, October 27, at 9/8c on CBS, followed by its Christmas special Thursday, December 10, at 9/8c.
