Conan O’Brien is preparing to hit the road once again as Conan O’Brien Must Go returns for its third season later this month. HBO Max has confirmed that the Emmy-winning comedian’s travel documentary series will premiere on August 21, bringing viewers another round of humorous international adventures.

The new season once again follows O’Brien as he travels across the globe to meet fans he first connected with through his podcast, Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan, a spin-off of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend. Combining travel, comedy, and cultural exploration, the series sees the longtime late-night host immersing himself in local traditions while sharing his trademark self-deprecating humor with audiences around the world.
Season 3 will consist of four episodes, marking a slight expansion from the previous season’s three-episode run. New installments will be released weekly, with the finale scheduled to stream on September 11 exclusively on HBO Max.

While HBO Max has yet to officially reveal the destinations featured in the upcoming season, online production listings suggest that Conan could visit India and the Netherlands during his latest journey. The streaming platform has not confirmed those locations, leaving fans to wait for further announcements ahead of the premiere.
Since its debut, Conan O’Brien Must Go has earned praise for blending genuine cultural experiences with O’Brien’s improvisational comedy, offering a fresh take on the travel documentary format. Rather than simply showcasing famous landmarks, the series focuses on personal connections, introducing viewers to ordinary people from different parts of the world through the comedian’s uniquely awkward and heartfelt interactions.

With an expanded episode order and another slate of international adventures on the horizon, Season 3 looks set to continue the show’s winning formula when it returns later this month.
