Who Is Jamie Roy?
A proud Scottish actor originally from Greenock and raised in Glasgow, Jamie Roy has steadily built a compelling body of work across both television and film.
Starring in notable roles in silver screen features such as Squeaky Clean Mysteries: Hazardous Duty, Your Boyfriend Is Mine, Flowers & Honey, and Burning Lies, as well as action film Condor’s Nest, Roy’s latest performance is bar far his biggest.
Taking on the character of Brian Fraser in the highly-anticipated prequel to the Outlander franchise, Roy’s rendition of a character that has thus far, been relegated to flashbacks and memories courtesy of his future son, Jamie Fraser, is one for the historical romance history books.
His on-screen chemistry with his fated love, Ellen McKenzie (played by Harriet Slater), may be palpable, but off-screen, it’s his real life partner that has his heart.
Who Is Jamie Roy’s Partner, Annika Foster?
Actor Jamie Roy has been with his partner, Annika Foster, for five years.
The couple celebrated their two-year anniversary in January 2023 with a sweet Instagram post on Annika’s page, captioned: “Happy 2-year honey (mustard) ilysm.”
Going off the post, we know that the couple has been together since 2021 and aren’t shy about celebrating their partnership on the grid.
But while Annika’s feed is filled with candid photos of her and Jamie travelling the world, it’s also filled with behind-the-scenes footage from her own on-set experiences as a working actress.
The creative couple share more than just a love for one another – they also share a career, and like other acting duos, it’s proven to be a recipe for relationship success for this low-key romance thus far.
According to her IMDB, Annika Foster, 31, is an American actress who’s appeared in indie films and television series such as Meeting You, Meeting Me (2024), Burning Lies (2021, The Drawing and Four For Fun (2022).
While she remains relatively out of the spotlight and not much else is known about her, a 2022 podcast interview on Real Conversations with Jacob Young revealed that aside from acting, and travelling, she’s also a part time nanny.
“I live in a studio apartment with my partner. And it’s actually … pretty easy,” she said.
“But I forget to go to work. I nanny on the side and I come home and he’s here,” she added, before sharing why it is she loves working with children so much. “I think it goes back to how much I enjoy being a child. I love jumping into their play-pretend worlds with them. But then also, it’s just getting to watch and help someone grow and learn.”
