Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 2 came to a close after the 2025 Thanksgiving holiday, and one more season is on the way.

The show received a Season 3 renewal six months ahead of the premiere of Season 2. The German series set at an English boarding school has broken international viewership records for Prime Video, and anticipation for the final installment has been building since the announcement that there would be a Season 3.

For everything we know about Season 3 of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us, read on.

When will Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 3 come out?

No release date has been set yet for Season 3, but production has wrapped, as Deadline exclusively confirmed.

Will there be more seasons of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us?

Head writer and executive producer Ceylan Yildirim revealed that, presently, there are no plans to expand the universe of the TV show beyond this trilogy, though Amazon MGM Studios and Yildirim’s team are always open to discussions.

What will Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 3 be about?

The series is based on Mona Kasten’s trilogy of books, and the third book titled Save Us will serve as the foundation for Season 3.

The lot summary so far reads “Ruby is on the edge: She has been suspended from Maxton Hall College, and all evidence points to James being responsible for her expulsion. A slap in the face that not only endangers Ruby’s Oxford dream, but also puts their love to a severe test. While Ruby and James do everything to save Ruby’s graduation, their environment and James’s circle of friends get caught in an emotional whirlwind that completely disrupts the existing order. Ruby and James painfully realize: Their worlds couldn’t be further apart, and not everything is as it seems. Can their love and friendships survive the enormous storms while the shadows of the past grow darker?”

Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger that seemingly dashed Ruby’s educational dreams of getting into Oxford University. The fallout of this major twist will be addressed in Season 3 in addition to the status of Ruby and James’ relationship.

“After the success of the first season, we decided to stay true to the basic narrative formula and keep the love story between Ruby and James as the central driving force of the show,” Yildirim told Deadline in an exclusive interview. “Because of this, Maxton Hall didn’t become a classic ensemble series with several equally weighted storylines like other shows of this genre.”

There will be a conclusion to James’ twin sister Lydia’s relationship with former teacher Graham Sutton, a deeper dive into the Beaufort family’s wealth and explorations of the “emotional chaos” in the relationships of supporting characters such as Ember, Wren, Alistair and Kesh.

Who will be in the cast of Season 3 of Maxton Hall – The World Between Us?

Deadline has confirmed that, alongside star duo Harriet Herbig-Matten and Damian Hardung, who star as Ruby Bell and James Beaufort, respectively, returning cast includes Sonja Weißer as Lydia, Eidin Jalali as Graham, Ben Felipe as Cyril, Fedja van Huêt as Mortimer, Runa Greiner as Ember, Justus Riesner as Alistair, Govinda Gabriel as Kesh, Andrea Guo as Lin, Frederic Balonier as Kieran, Eli Riccardi as Elaine and Dagny Dewath as Ophelia.

Who else is behind Maxton Hall – The World Between Us Season 3?

UFA Fiction produces alongside Amazon MGM Studios. Martin Schreier will return as director, with Markus Brunnemann and Yildirim the executive producers. Yildirim wrote the season with Sandra Stöckmann, Marlene Melchior, Catharina Junk and Aylin Kockler. Producers are Eike Adler and Valentin Debler, and the German Motion Picture Fund returns to support production.
