Award-winning American actress Taraji Penda Henson is receiving global attention following her exemplary delivery in Tyler Perry’s new movie “Straw”.
Straw- a movie produced by Tyler Perry Studios is currently at number one on Netflix, and Taraji can’t keep calm.
The actress penned a heartfelt tribute to her fans for always supporting her craft over the years.
She went on to reveal that she shot her scenes in “Straw” in 4 days as she was still on the set of her other movie called “Fight Night”.
“Y’all I am sooooo grateful!!!! God is so good. We filmed my part of this movie in 4 days. I was still working on the set of Fight Night (watch it if you haven’t). So I worked Thursday-Sunday on Straw and on Monday was back on the set of Fight Night.
She confessed that Perry has always trusted her capabilities when it comes to acting and she is glad she did not disappoint in Straw.

“My friend @tylerperry continues to challenge me. The first time we did something like this was on Arcimony. I was working on Empire and he called and said he had a Script for me. I told him I needed to time to do character work. He said, “If anybody can do this Taraji it’s you”. I believed him and trusted my instrument and went and filmed my portion of Acrimony in 5 days (Weds-Sunday) and Monday went right back to playing Cookie on Empire,” Taraji said in part.
She also praised her cast and crew for being amazing.
“When you know your instrument, you can do whatever whenever!!! Thank you @Tylerperry for always trusting and pushing me to do and be better. I love you. Thank you ALL for always showing up for me. I appreciate y’all so much. God’s Timing is always the best. Trust GOD ALWAYS!!!! Thank you to the entire cast and crew. I love you @sherrieshepherd and @teyanataylor sisters forever.
