OUTLANDER hunk Sam Heughan has won a ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ gong in a landslide victory over some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

It comes after country star Blake Shelton took People magazine’s official Sexiest Man Alive award this year.

Sam, 37, stole hearts and over 57% of the vote – but his reaction was even more swoon-worthy than his rippling biceps.

In recognition of the win, Sam tweeted: “It should read #SexiestFansThatDoRadSh*t”

And there was no doubt among fans that he deserved the crown.

@Angela1303 said: “After three years we’re still voting. That must tell you something about your fans’ devotion – Or maybe we’re just crazy ”

While @cdiener82 added: “Definitely one of the nicest people on the planet.”

But it’s no surprise, given the star – who plays leading role Jamie Fraser in hit fantasy drama Outlander – is so much more than his looks.

He continues to wow an increasing number of fans in season three of the Diana Gabaldon TV adaptation, released earlier this year.

And that comes despite one broadcaster showing PORN subtitles on a recent episode.

And for the last two years he has been inspiring fans to plank, do press ups and fasten their running shoes, as the founder of My Peak Challenge (MPC).

Members – or Peakers as they are affectionately known – set themselves a goal which they aim to achieve within 12 months, be it a physical or otherwise, in a bid to live healthier, happier and more balanced lives.

Along with a team of coaches, Sam provides workout and nutrition plans, as well as keeping Peakers motivated and connected through uplifting social media posts.
