Judy Finnigan beamed with joy as she reunited with husband Richard Madeley following his short-lived stint on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.
Richard, 65, was a contestant on the latest series of the ITV reality programme but was forced to quit last week after being rushed to hospital.
The TV presenter suffered from dehydration and was soon given a ‘clean bill of health’ but I’m A Celeb producers were unable to allow him back into camp as he’d broken the Covid bubble by leaving.
After returning from Wales where the series is filmed, Richard was finally back in the arms of his beloved wife Judy, who couldn’t hide her happiness to have him home.
The couple, who have been married for 35 years, were spotted walking arm-in-arm along a high street in Hampstead on Sunday with Judy smiling as they chatted away while Richard looked deep in thought.
No doubt the pair had plenty to catch up on after missing their 35th wedding anniversary on November 21 due to Richard being away in the castle.
A photo was shared to Richard’s Instagram account on the special day, with a photo of Judy, 73, with daughter Chloe, son Jack and grandson Kit.
It included the caption: ‘Are you ready? We are ready…One hour to go… #teammadeley can’t wait to see Richard on his and Judy’s 35th wedding anniversary. How do you think he’ll do?’
Before going into the castle, Richard opened up about the prospect of spending his first wedding anniversary away from Judy in his Express column.
He wrote: ‘On Sunday, that’s our 35th wedding anniversary actually. So that will be the first wedding anniversary that I’ve missed and it’s a big one. I gave her a present before we left and a card which she will open on the day.
‘We’re going to really miss each other. I’ll miss her a huge amount. I spend every day of my life with her, either working with her or in the house.
‘I’m already feeling strangely dislocated. She’s my right arm and she’s not here.’
Richard has detailed his turn of poor health on I’m A Celeb, which included him ‘babbling nonsense’ at 4am while dehydrated.
