Pedro Pascal is set for another reunion on Tony Gilroy‘s new film, Behemoth!, and it’s a big one. After joining forces with the Mandalorian star on the set of the latest MCU team-up flick, Avengers: Doomsday, two-time Emmy nominee David Harbour is in negotiations to share the screen with Pascal once again in the Andor writer’s latest directorial effort. Though details are scarce about the film, it’s set to begin principal photography this fall in Los Angeles, meaning further casting should be ramping up soon. Searchlight Pictures is backing the production, with no release date currently set.

While Pascal has a busy schedule to work with, Harbour isn’t much less active. 2025 has been a big year for his involvement in the MCU, not only shooting Doomsday, which premieres next December, but reprising his role as the Red Guardian in Thunderbolts* and in an animated capacity for the gory and creepy What If…? spin-off, Marvel Zombies. Additionally, he recently lent his voice to the DCU to play Frankenstein in James Gunn‘s Creature Commandos. It hasn’t just been franchise work for the star, though, as Harbour also appeared opposite Jason Statham in his latest action effort, A Working ManBehemoth! will add to an upcoming slate for him that includes a sequel to Violent Night, the animated basketball flick GOAT, and the HBO limited series DTF St. Louis.

David Harbour Is About To Say Goodbye to ‘Stranger Things’

Chief Hopper (David Harbour) finds himself investigating many mysteries in Season 1 of 'Stranger Things.'

Of course, the biggest upcoming project for Harbour is undoubtedly the fifth and final season of Netflix’s Stranger Things. At long last, the 80s-set supernatural horror series is set to come to a close, starting on November 26 with the release of Volume 1. Further episodes will follow on Christmas Day, with the grand finale primed to bid farewell to Hawkins and all its sci-fi secrets for good on New Year’s Day. Harbour broke out in a big way on the series, playing Sheriff Jim Hopper for over ten years now and helping to investigate the mysterious happenings in the small town in Indiana, from disappearing kids to Demogorgons. Back in August at FanX’s Tampa Bay Comic Convention, Harbour took part in a live Q&A hosted by Collider’s Maggie Lovitt, where he opened up about how Hopper’s storyline closes and how the final season brings a satisfying ending to the overarching tale of Hawkins’s residents while also going bigger than the show ever has during its iconic run on Netflix.

“Definitely, this season will take you on a ride of all kinds of dimensions and will put people in the places where they need to be and it felt satisfying because there were things throughout the show, even in Season 1 that I sort of knew couldn’t exist and can’t exist and like it feels right this season, but it also is very moving. So, I don’t wanna say either way whether it’s Hopper wins or loses or this person, you know, this or that. I’ll just say that you’ll go on a ride, and I do think you’ll feel satisfied with the endings of all these different characters. I do think that these guys, you know, there are other shows out there where you don’t feel that satisfaction, or you feel let down. I don’t think you will feel that with this. I feel like you will you will have satisfaction that these characters are who they said they were in the beginning, and they deliver.”

Filming on Behemoth! begins this fall. Stay tuned here at Collider for more on Gilroy’s new film as work gets underway.
