Jason Bateman and Jude Law have a new hit on their hands!
The actors play brothers in the Netflix crime thriller limited series, Black Rabbit. The nonstop show stars Law as Jake Friedken, a beloved restaurant owner in New York City, who suddenly finds himself in a series of chaotic events as Bateman’s character, Vince Friedken, returns to the family business.
Prior to the show’s release, Law spoke to PEOPLE about filming Black Rabbit — which included several intense action moments.
“It’s very hard to describe. It’s like you’re playing a sport, but you’re not trying to beat the other person, you’re trying to raise their game,” he said.
In addition to Bateman and Law, the series also stars Cleopatra Coleman, Sope Dirisu, Amaka Okafor, Troy Kotsur, Chris Coy, Forrest Weber and Dagmara Domińczyk, among others. While the series follows Law and Bateman as brothers working with their restaurant employees to escape chaos, in reality, both Law and Bateman are in long-standing, and far less dramatic, marriages.
Here’s everything to know about the real-life partners of the Black Rabbit cast.
1. Jude Law and Phillipa Coan

Law, who plays Jake, has been in a relationship with his wife, Phillipa Coan, for more than a decade. The Talented Mr. Ripley actor and the psychologist reportedly met through mutual friends and were first romantically linked in 2015.
After four years of dating, Law and Coan got married in a surprise, intimate ceremony at The Old Marylebone Town Hall in London. They went on to welcome two children together, the first in 2020 and the second in 2023. Although Law has had a public career in acting for over 30 years, he has kept his relationship and children with Coan private.
“She’s mine and no one else’s. I’m very, very happy,” he told Modern Luxury in 2017. “A large part of that is the fact that she’s a very private person. And our relationship is a very private thing, and I think part of the fact it works so well is exactly because of that.”
Prior to his relationship with Coan, Law was married to Sadie Frost from 1997 to 2003, and they had three children: sons Rafferty “Raff” (born in 1996) and Rudy (born in 2002) and daughter Iris (born in 2000). He also has daughter Sophia (born in 2009) with ex Samantha Burke and daughter Ada (born in 2015) with ex Catherine Harding.
2. Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka

Bateman, who acts as the more troublesome brother, Vince, had known his wife, Amanda Anka, for years before they tied the knot.
The Arrested Development actor and the producer originally met when they were teenagers at a Los Angeles Kings hockey game in the 1980s, but they didn’t start dating until 10 years later, when they were in the same stage of life, as she told GQ in 2013.
The couple tied the knot in July 2001 and later welcomed two daughters: Francesca Nora (born in October 2006) and Maple Sylvie (born in February 2012).
Although Bateman and Anka frequently support each other at events, they have mostly kept their daughters out of the public eye. However, the family of four made a rare appearance and attended the Black Rabbit premiere at TIFF in September 2025.
In 2014, Bateman reflected on his marriage to Anka and explained that he purposely chose to “marry a friend.”
“I wanted to marry somebody who wasn’t someone I had to be in any particular mood to want to be around – with close friends, you can be with them no matter what mood you’re in,” he told the Daily Telegraph. “I just waited until I found a girl that really was that in my life. Amanda is and that’s why it feels so effortless. It gets better every single year.”
3. Cleopatra Coleman

Coleman, who plays Estelle, appears to be single and focusing on her career. In July 2024, she explained to Interview Magazine that she deleted social media because of people “sexualizing me all day long.”
“I found no matter what I would post, people would just say, ‘Them lips though,’ or they would be sexualizing me all day long,” she told the outlet. “I’m happy to share my sexuality, but that’s not the only thing about me.”
Coleman was previously romantically linked to actor Avan Jogia in 2017, but they were last photographed together in 2020.
4. Sope Dirisu

Dirisu, who plays Wes, is single and living in Peckham, U.K., as he told The Times in March 2025.
Although he keeps much of his personal life private, the actor told the outlet that as a Nigerian, he wants to “pass on my culture and heritage to my children when I have them.”
Dirisu has been focusing on his acting career, but he’s also learned about other hobbies when he’s free.
“I recently discovered how much I enjoy walking in nature for hours, climbing and swimming in waterfalls,” he told Numéro Netherlands in September 2025. “I will always enjoy playing football and watching Arsenal win, but I’m equally content having a sofa day and binge watching an animé series.”
5. Amaka Okafor

Okafor, who plays chef Roxie, doesn’t appear to be in a relationship, but she calls herself a “single mum” to her daughter, Bilqis (born in 2014).
The British actress has previously explained how much she values spending time with her daughter and has brought her along for several of her work projects — including to N.Y.C. to film Black Rabbit.
“I really enjoy getting immersed in a completely different world,” she told Aver Magazine. “I’d like to be a good role model in every way; being open about my flaws as well so that people aren’t trying to strive for some sort of perfection that doesn’t exist.”
6. Troy Kotsur and Deanne Bray

Kotsur, who embraced his role as the villain Joe Mancuso, has been married to fellow actress Deanne Bray since 2001. The actors, who are both deaf, met in 1993 when she was visiting a friend at the National Theatre of the Deaf while he was working there.
Kotsur and Bray initially became close friends and co-workers, but they didn’t start dating until 1997 because she was hesitant to date a colleague, she explained to Verywell Health in February 2025.
They married in September 2001 and later welcomed one child, daughter Kyra Monique, in September 2005. Bray celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on Sept. 1, 2025, by sharing several photos of her and Kotsur over the years.
“Through so many seasons, the most challenging seasons and the most joyous seasons, we are still together,” she captioned the post.
7. Chris Coy and Alice Coy

Coy, who plays Babbitt, is married to his wife, Alice Coy. The Treme actor and Alice have been married since 2011 and are parents to three children: daughters Veronica (born in 2012) and Dylan (born in 2015) and son James (born in 2019).
In November 2023, the couple celebrated their wedding anniversary by sharing photos of the two of them and their three kids.
“None better than you. None luckier than I. Happy anniversary, my love. A baker’s dozen! Look at all those babies! Aaaaaahhhhhh!” they captioned the joint post.
8. Forrest Weber and Lauren Jaimes

Forrest Weber, who plays Junior, has been married to Lauren Jaimes since September 2022. The actor and the singer celebrated their second wedding anniversary in 2024, and Weber called it the “best two years of my life.”
The actor previously explained to Numéro Netherlands that he and Jaimes frequently collaborate on creative projects.
“If I’m not on set, I’m probably at the beach with my amazing wife and creative partner Lauren Jaimes, and with our two rescue dogs, Delilah & Winnie,” he told the outlet in September 2025. “We moved just outside the city to a beach town a few years back and we love it. That being said, we’ve been spending more and more time in Nashville getting heavily involved in the songwriting circuit there.”
9. Dagmara Domińczyk and Patrick Wilson

Domińczyk, who plays Val, has been married to fellow actor Patrick Wilson since 2005. The Succession actress and The Conjuring actor met when they were both studying drama at Carnegie Mellon in the late 1990s.
Although they didn’t date as students, they reconnected in 2004 and married the following year in June 2005. Years later, Domińczyk reflected on their 19th wedding anniversary by sharing a photo from their wedding in a since-removed post on X.
“19 years ago I was blonde, smoked cigarettes, I worried about everything but was fearless too. I’d also found the love of my life,” Domińczyk wrote. “I don’t smoke anymore, I’m no longer blonde & I worry a lot less. And somehow, I love this man more than I did back then. More, and forever & ever.”
The Hollywood couple are parents to two sons: Kalin (born in 2006) and Kassian (born in 2010).
