Chloe Madeley said she had reservations about living with her parents Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan after giving birth to daughter, Bodhi.
Chloe, 35, and her rugby player husband James Haskell, 37, moved into the presenter’s parents’ home shortly after giving birth to their daughter in August.
The trio became the lodgers of Chloe’s TV presenter mum and dad after being forced to leave their own home due to renovations.
Worried about how close quarters would affect her relationship with Richard and Judy, the fitness expert has now confirmed they are closer than ever.
She told The Sun: ‘I was quietly devastated and dreading it. I thought we were all going to be so frazzled.
‘There’s just been the loveliest family camaraderie between us. My mum and I have never been this close,’ Chloe breathed a sigh of relief.
The star continued: ‘I’ve always been a daddy’s girl. But since I got pregnant it’s flipped completely.
‘My mum has been living and breathing it with me. This is the closest I’ve ever felt to her.’
With renovations finished, the couple have flown the nest and are back in their own home, settling into life as first-time parents.
Uploading before and after shots, Chloe showed off before and after snaps of bathroom with white marble finishings and moved onto admire her new grey carpeted staircase and black chandelier.
Previously admitted she didn’t think children were in her future, the presenter shared her feelings on the subject during a panel chat with Loose Women hosts.
She said: ‘I spent a long time not sure if I wanted children, and I think a lot of women don’t necessarily talk about it.
‘In the third trimester, I was really nervous, like, I hope I’ve made the right decision and I kind of thought that would go away.
‘It didn’t, and I was really nervous about it.’
Dismissing doubts after giving birth in August, Chloe reassured the audience she never looked back once she saw her daughter’s face.
‘As soon as I saw Bodhi, I just fell madly in love and thought, “This is the best thing I’ve ever done!”‘
