House of Guinness actor Anthony Boyle, who plays Arthur Guinness in the new Netflix series, has a fully naked scene that has left the gays shook — not to mention that the character also has gay hookups on the show, notably with a warehouse worker called Patrick (played by Cúán Hosty-Blaney) throughout the season.
This new Netflix hit show, set in 1868 Dublin, tells the story of the Guinness family facing the death of its patriarch, Benjamin Guinness, which prompts his four children to run the family business: A world-class, famous brewery.
Benjamin Guinness’s will also challenges the four heirs to come to terms with each other, despite all of them keeping a few secrets of their own. Outside of the Guinness family’s drama, this is also a time of revolution happening in Ireland, which raised the stakes even further.

Some fans might recognize Boyle from his performances as Geoffrey Smith in Tolkien, Kevin Maxwell in Tetris, John Wilkes Booth on Manhunt, and Harry Crosby on Masters of the Air.
Boyle is otherwise a very accomplished theater actor. For instance, he originated the role of Scorpius Malfoy in both the West End and Broadway productions of the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play, and starred in other theater productions like Othello, In Arabia We’d All Be Kings, and Mojo, to name a few.
The cast of House of Guinness also features Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn as Anne Plunket, Fionn O’Shea as Benjamin Lee Guinness II, James Norton as Sean Rafferty, Jack Gleeson as Byron Hedges, and David Wilmot as Bonnie Champion, to name a few.
It’s also noteworthy that Steve Knight — who created House of Guinness and serves as its showrunner — has already been taped to write the next James Bond / 007 film with Denis Villeneuve (Dune) attached as director.
House of Guinness is streaming on Netflix.
