Back to Briar U! ‘Off Campus’ Season 1’s Best Behind-the-Scenes Photos
We’re having major Off Campus withdrawals. It’s getting seriously dire while we wait for Off Campus Season 2. To cope, we recommend watching Season 1 again and re-reading Elle Kennedy’s hockey romance book series for the umpteenth time. If you haven’t read Kennedy’s first book, The Deal, which covers Hannah (Ella Bright) and Garrett’s (Belmont Cameli) love story, this is your sign. But we’ve acquired another hobby that makes Off Campus‘ temporary absence a little less painful — looking through behind-the-scenes photos.
Lucky for us, Stephen Kalyn, Mika Abdalla, Josh Heuston Jalen Thomas Brooks, Antonio Cipriano, and even Kennedy herself have shared plenty of BTS photos and videos from filming Season 1. Costumers, makeup artists, and other crew members have posted their own, too. Block Party
Who could forget the block party, when Dean meets Allie and calls her “princess” for the first time? Not us. And we have a BTS photo of the scene with a few other members of the Briar U crew, courtesy of Antonio Cipriano.
Core Four
We remember exactly where we were when Off Campus revealed the first look at the core four in their practice hockey uniforms.
“Respect.”
Dean and Garrett’s scene at the gym will never not be iconic, so we had to include this behind-the-scenes photo to commemorate it. There’s no other reason.
Hockey Doubles
Fun fact: New York Rangers defenseman Vincent Iorio was Belmont Cameli’s stunt double for the more intense hockey scenes. According to Stephen Kalyn, Cameli is the “worst player” out of the four of them by far, so it sounds like a double was needed.
Hannah’s Helmet
There are too many amazing things going on in this photo, including Mika Abdalla wearing a Di Laurentis hockey jersey to commemorate the final day of shooting. But Hannah’s helmet is the star of the show. A “cool helmet” indeed.
Robes!
