Prime Video’s New College Romance Could Be The Next Off Campus Obsession

Prime Video is adding another young adult romance series to its growing lineup, and fans of Off-Campus may want to keep an eye on Campus Drivers.

Based on C.S. Quill’s Fast Lane, the upcoming series brings a new college romance story to the screen while expanding beyond a single central couple. The show is set at Belrose University and follows Lois and Lane, whose complicated relationship takes an unexpected turn after a breakup leaves them temporarily living together as roommates.

The setup puts romance, friendship and college life at the center of the story, giving the series plenty of room to explore how relationships change when young adults are navigating school and their personal lives at the same time.

Campus Drivers stars Carmen Kassovitz, Baptiste Masseline, Madior Fall, Eloïse Rey, Félix Nebel, Esteban Vial and Enzo Lorente. The series is currently reported to be heading to Prime Video in November 2026.

One of the biggest similarities to Off-Campus is its focus on a wider group of characters rather than keeping the entire story centered on one romance. While Lois and Lane are at the heart of Campus Drivers, the series also follows their circle of friends, creating opportunities for additional relationships and storylines to develop throughout the season.

That multi-character approach will likely feel familiar to viewers who enjoy romance adaptations built around interconnected couples. Off-Campus, based on Elle Kennedy’s popular book series, similarly introduces different relationships while keeping its college setting and friendships at the heart of the story.

The two shows do, however, have a notable difference in their worlds. Off-Campus is closely connected to college hockey and the athletes at Briar University, while Campus Drivers centers on a group of rideshare drivers at the fictional Belrose University.

The new series also arrives at a time when book-to-screen adaptations continue to attract audiences looking for romance stories with familiar characters, dramatic relationships and interconnected storylines. With Bridgerton demonstrating the appeal of following different couples within the same world, Campus Drivers appears to be taking a similar approach in a contemporary college setting.

For viewers who enjoy messy romances, close-knit friend groups and stories that move from one couple to another, Campus Drivers could be another series worth adding to the watchlist when it arrives.
