Outlander season eight has two more episodes left before the long-running drama series concludes.
The final outing has proven divisive among fans, who have been left furious at the Faith Fraser storyline and a recent death.
However, avid Outlander viewers are still hanging on until the end – but there’s some bad news.

Season eight, episode nine marks the penultimate instalment of the show and is titled Pharos.
The episode is scheduled to be airing in the UK on Saturday, May 9 on MGM+ via Prime Video.

What will happen in Outlander season 8 episode 9?
Starz recently dropped a teaser trailer for the penultimate episode, which sees Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) preparing to face his fate at Kings Mountain, where a pivotal battle in the American Revolutionary War plays out and he is said to die.
The preview starts with Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe) looking through a spyglass as she narrates in voiceover: “What history had written about Jamie’s fate haunted me. I found myself searching for any crack through which hope might seep.”
The trailer then cuts to Brianna MacKenzie (Sophie Skelton) addressing her father: “You’re not coming back, are you?”
But Jamie tries to reassure her: “You need no longer fear.”
Despite her pleas imploring him not to fight, Jamie says he must.
The teaser then cuts to an exciting montage as everyone prepares for battle and Jamie is seen creeping up on a man after emerging from water.
“The only way to truly protect you is to fight,” Jamie says as he attacks a man.
The tension ramps up as a message appears on the screen: “Only one episode left before the epic series finale.”
“You can’t win a war that’s already been lost,” Claire warns Jamie as men come to Fraser’s Ridge and summon him to battle.
