Off Campus Season 2 Takes Shape As Filming Wraps And New Details Emerge

Fans of Off Campus may not have an official release date yet, but all signs suggest the hit Prime Video series is moving quickly toward its highly anticipated return.

After becoming one of the biggest breakout streaming hits of 2026, the college romance drama has officially wrapped filming on its second season, giving viewers plenty of reasons to believe the next chapter could arrive sooner than expected.

Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling book series, Off Campus debuted on Prime Video on May 13 and quickly became a phenomenon among romance fans. The series reportedly attracted 36 million viewers during its first 12 days of release, making it the third most-watched debut season in the platform’s history.

The show’s success came as little surprise to Prime Video executives, who renewed the series for a second season months before the first season had even premiered.

Allie And Dean Move Into The Spotlight

While season one focused primarily on the relationship between hockey star Garrett Graham and music student Hannah Wells, the upcoming season will shift its attention to a new central couple.

Season two is expected to follow Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis, portrayed by Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn. Their complicated relationship became one of the most talked-about storylines of the first season after what began as a casual friends-with-benefits arrangement evolved into something far more emotional.

The season one finale left the pair facing serious tension after Allie revealed she had also been involved with Dean’s hockey rival, Hunter. With unresolved feelings and trust issues hanging over their relationship, season two is set to explore whether the pair can move beyond their messy history and find a future together.

Showrunner Louisa Levy has previously confirmed that Allie and Dean will become the primary romance of the new season. However, fans of Hannah and Garrett have no reason to worry, as both characters are expected to remain important members of the ensemble cast.

New Faces Arrive At Briar University

Several new additions will expand the world of Off Campus in season two.

Shay Rudolph has joined the cast as Summer Di Laurentis, Dean’s younger sister and a fan-favorite character from Kennedy’s wider Briar Universe novels. Her introduction could potentially lay the groundwork for future storylines beyond the current season.

Another major newcomer is India Fowler, who will portray Grace Ivers. Readers of the book series already know Grace eventually becomes an important figure in John Logan’s story, making her arrival one of the developments fans are watching most closely.

Meanwhile, Hamilton star Phillipa Soo has signed on to play Scarlett, a theater artist brought in to direct a production at Briar University’s drama department. Her character is expected to become involved in several campus storylines, particularly those connected to aspiring actress Allie.

One familiar face who will not be returning is Josh Heuston’s Justin Kohl. Although the character appears in Kennedy’s broader universe, the actor is not expected to appear in season two.

Filming Has Officially Wrapped

Off Campus Season 2

Production on the second season began on June 1 in Vancouver, with North Shore Studios once again serving as the show’s primary production hub.

The University of British Columbia returned as the filming location for fictional Briar University, allowing the series to maintain the same visual identity established during its first season.

Cast members frequently shared behind-the-scenes glimpses throughout the summer, fueling fan speculation online. One of the most discussed videos featured Antonio Cipriano, who plays John Logan, sprinting across campus in formal attire. The mysterious scene immediately sparked theories among viewers about what role Logan’s storyline could play in the upcoming season.

In early September, stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli also posted a social media update from set, teasing that production was nearing completion and assuring fans that the wait would be worthwhile.

By late September, reports confirmed that filming had officially wrapped.

When Could Season 2 Be Released?

Prime Video has not announced an official premiere date, but the production timeline offers a strong clue.

Season one filmed between June and October 2025 before premiering in May 2026. With season two following a nearly identical production schedule, many industry observers believe the new episodes could arrive around April or May 2027.

Nothing has been confirmed by Prime Video yet, but with filming completed and post-production now underway, the countdown to Briar University’s next romance is officially on.

For now, fans can expect more hockey drama, complicated relationships, new romances, and plenty of emotional twists when Off Campus returns for its second season.
