Off Campus quickly became one of Prime Video’s biggest new hits after arriving in May 2026, and fans may not have to wait too long for the next chapter.
Based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Off Campus book series, the college-set romance became a surprise success shortly after its debut. The series reportedly attracted a combined 36 million viewers during its first two weeks, making it the third most-watched debut series in Prime Video history.
The appeal is easy to understand. The show mixes college romance, ice hockey, friendships and plenty of drama in a colorful world of parties, campus hangouts, karaoke bars and American diners. While the characters face their share of problems, the series keeps the overall tone relatively light and focuses heavily on romance and relationships.
Prime Video also seemed confident in the series from the beginning. The streamer renewed Off Campus for Season 2 in February 2026, before Season 1 had even premiered. Production then began in June, and recent reports and videos from the cast indicate that filming has now wrapped.
So, what exactly can fans expect from Season 2?
What Will Off Campus Season 2 Be About?
Season 1 centered on the romance between ice hockey star Garrett Graham, played by Belmont Cameli, and music student Hannah Wells, played by Ella Bright.
However, fans familiar with Kennedy’s books already know that each story focuses on a different couple. Season 2 will therefore move the spotlight to two characters who were already introduced in the first season: Hannah’s best friend Allie and Garrett’s hockey teammate Dean.
Allie, played by Mika Abdalla, and Dean, played by Stephen Kalyn, spent much of Season 1 in a friends-with-benefits relationship. As their connection became more complicated, it became clear that their feelings might be developing into something more serious.
Their relationship will now become the primary romance of Season 2.
Off Campus writer Louisa Levy previously confirmed the direction of the new season, while also reassuring viewers that Hannah and Garrett will not simply disappear.
The original leads are expected to remain important members of the ensemble, allowing the series to continue following the wider group of friends while introducing a new central love story.
Who’s In The Cast For Off Campus Season 2?
Several familiar faces from Season 1 are returning for the second season.
Ella Bright will reprise her role as Hannah, while Belmont Cameli will return as Garrett. Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn will continue as Allie and Dean, with Antonio Cipriano returning as John Logan and Jalen Thomas Brooks coming back as John Tucker.
However, Season 2 will also introduce several new characters.
India Fowler, known for White Lines and Insomnia, was announced as Grace Ivers on April 30. Fans who were paying close attention during Season 1 may recognize the character, as Grace made a brief appearance during the Hawks’ fundraiser at Malone’s.
Grace is also connected to Logan in Kennedy’s original book series, where she eventually becomes his love interest.
Another new addition is Phillipa Soo, best known for Hamilton. She will play Scarlett, a theatre artist who guest-directs an original production for Briar University’s drama department.
On August 14, Shay Rudolph was announced as another new cast member. She will portray Summer Di Laurentis, the sister of Dean, who is one of Season 2’s central characters.
Summer is also an important character in Kennedy’s Briar U spin-off series, which expands the world established in the original Off Campus books.
Will Justin Return?
One character who will not be part of the main Season 2 cast is Justin, played by Josh Heuston.
Levy previously addressed Justin’s absence and left the door open for a potential return in a future season.
She explained that the creative team never had the opportunity to introduce Stella, the character Justin eventually ends up with in the books. Because of that, there could still be a way to bring Justin back later.
For now, however, fans should not expect to see him in Season 2.
When Will Off Campus Season 2 Be Released?
Prime Video has not announced an official release date for Season 2, but the production schedule suggests that the wait could be shorter than fans might expect.
Filming for the second season began on June 1, 2026, and wrapped in late September. That is relatively similar to the schedule for Season 1, which began filming in June and finished in October before the finished season was released the following May.
If Prime Video follows a similar production-to-release timeline, Season 2 could arrive around May 2027, or potentially even earlier.
For now, that date remains an estimate rather than an official announcement. Still, with filming already completed, fans have plenty to look forward to as Allie and Dean prepare to take over as the new central couple of Off Campus.
