It’s getting weird: Off Campus fans drop their support for Belmont Cameli after statement
This is why Prime had to share a statement
Off Campus season one came out just a month ago, and it’s already developed a strong fanbase. The series, based on the book series by the same name, mostly focused on the love story of Hannah (Ella Bright) and Garrett (Belmont Cameli). The two lead actors soon developed large followings, and people started digging into their personal lives.

They discovered Belmont’s girlfriend, TV writer Raina Morris. She’s in a lot of the behind-the-scenes cast content and seems to be on good terms with her boyfriend’s on-screen girlfriend, Ella Bright. Still, that hasn’t stopped people from being weird.
Reina was forced to share an Instagram story after accidentally unfollowing Ella Bright, which showed the two are good friends and that the whole thing was a misunderstanding. But since then, some Off Campus fans have labelled her “jealous” and “insecure”. Because of the harassment of her and other Off Campus co-stars and their partners, Amazon Prime were forced to issue a statement reminding viewers to be normal.
Some Off Campus viewers are getting weirdly parasocial
Now, fan accounts on X are sharing their grievances with the actor and dramatically announcing the end of their support.
“This account is no longer a fan of Belmont Cameli; he’s fallen out of favour in my eyes because of the chaos caused by his girlfriend,” one person said.

“From now on, I’ll be a fan of Stephen Kalyn, Mika Abdalla, Ella Bright, and T.Jalen Brooks. I hope they don’t mess things up somehow too.”
Another replied: “The fact he chooses to be with someone like that says it all.”
Thankfully, a lot of people in the fandom are calling out those who are overly invested in the cast’s lives and find any reason to hate on their partners.
