Macaulay Culkin is heading to Australia later this year to revisit the role that made him one of Hollywood’s most recognizable child stars.
The actor will tour Australia in November for Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin, giving fans the chance to watch the beloved Christmas classic on the big screen before hearing directly from its star.
Macaulay Culkin to Bring ‘Home Alone’ to Australia
Culkin will appear at three special screenings across Australia.
The tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on November 24, followed by a screening at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre on November 27. The final Australian date is scheduled for Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on November 29.
Each event will feature a screening of the original Home Alone followed by a live, moderated interview with Culkin, allowing audiences to hear the actor reflect on the iconic film.
The actor will also be available for fans who purchase VIP Meet and Greet packages, which include an opportunity to meet him and have a photo taken together.
VIP packages start at $399, while general admission tickets range from $106 to $179, depending on the seating section.
The events are open to all ages. Presale tickets are scheduled to begin on September 21 at 11 a.m., with general sales opening on September 23 at 11 a.m.
The Film That Made Culkin a Global Star
Released in 1990, Home Alone transformed Culkin into one of the biggest child stars of the era.
He played Kevin McCallister, the mischievous young boy accidentally left behind by his family during the Christmas holidays. The film also starred Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, alongside the late John Heard, Catherine O’Hara and John Candy.

The movie became a major box-office success and propelled Culkin to worldwide fame while he was still a child.
He followed the film with appearances in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, My Girl and The Good Son.
Culkin Stepped Away From Acting as a Child
Culkin continued working as a child actor before starring in Richie Rich in 1994.

After that film, he stepped away from acting for several years. His return to the screen eventually came with a guest appearance on Will & Grace nearly a decade later.
His career has since continued well beyond the child-star years that first made him famous.
Now, more than three decades after Kevin McCallister first outsmarted two burglars on screen, Culkin is returning to one of his most famous roles in a different way — by watching Home Alone alongside audiences and sharing memories of the film in person.
