6Just days ahead of fashion’s biggest night, a multitude of stars got themselves glammed up for the events pre celebrations in New York City.
In attendance was blonde bombshell Brooks who put on a sultry display, opting for a black flowing dress which was adorned with lace.
Brooks went braless for the look showing off her natural curves and plunging cleavage.
The model accessorised the look with glittering jewels adding a staple diamond choker and a pair of matching earrings.
The pics snapped on Saturday night showed Brooks outside Bezos and and his wife Lauren Sánchez Bezos’ lavish NoMad apartment.
The likes of Kendall Jenner, Nicole Kidman and Romeo Beckham also showed up to the star-studded event.
Kendall stunned in a classic midi black dress with slits that appeared to be held together with velvet bows, styling her look with a pair of chic sunglasses and clutch.
Romeo looked just as effortless in a black leather jacket and trousers complete with silver chains, whilst Nicole opted for an eye-catching black and white silk suit.
The exclusive invite from the Amazon founder is reported by Variety to have been sent to guests via email and included a disco-themed image.
The billionaire couple will be making their debut as honorary co-chairs and lead donors at this year’s Met Gala.
6But the news has been met with severe backlash from fans, who expressed their outrage over the billionaire’s involvement with the Met Gala and have even urged others to boycott the event.
Last month, massive posters reading “Boycott Met Gala” were plastered all over New York.
Jeff and wife Lauren have funded most of the expenses for the lavish gala, scheduled for May 4 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with many calling it the “Bezos Met Gala”.
Some of the posters feature a water bottle, appearing to be filled with urine, in the middle of the red carpet.
“Brought to you by worker exploitation,” the sign read, it remains unknown who spread the posters around the city.
It’s suspected they’re referring to allegations made against the Amazon tycoon’s company in a 2023 lawsuit.
In the lawsuit, three Amazon delivery drivers accused Jeff of forcing his employees to urinate in bottles and defecate in dog bags to maintain the company’s high delivery volume.
Amazon spokesperson Sam Stephensen reportedly denied the claims in a statement to The Denver Post, stating that drivers are encouraged to take breaks between stops when needed.
Another poster said in smaller font, “There’s no dressing it up. Met Gala chair Jeff Bezos avoids tax, enables ICE, and backs Trump. Don’t let him get away with it.”
Jeff and his wife were named as honorary co-chairs of the gala alongside co-chairs Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
In November of last year, longtime chair Anna responded to the backlash over Jeff and Lauren’s role as sponsors during an interview with CNN.
She gushed that Lauren is a “great lover of costume and obviously of fashion,” and that she believed she’d be a “wonderful asset to the museum and the event.”
“We’re very grateful for her incredible generosity,” Anna told the outlet.
