KYM MARSH, who plays Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, looked a world away from her present appearance in a series of throwback snaps from her time in pop group Hear’Say.
The Coronation Street actress is celebrating her 42nd birthday today, and while she is widely known for her feisty character on the cobbles, fans may remember her from her time on Popstars in 2001.
The brunette beauty shot to fame with her band members Danny Foster, Myleene Klass, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan after with their debut single Pure and Simple.
In a series of unearthed snaps from her popstar days, Kym was a fan of raunchy looks.
In one snap, she almost exposed her nipples in a very plunging top which struggled to contain her assets.
The star also sported black shoulder-length hair which she wore in a wavy style.
Kym kept her base make-up minimal, but stood out with her silver eyeshadow and brown lipstick.
In another picture, Kym took to the stage with her group, flashing the flesh in a pink number.
The actress flaunted her desirable cleavage and curves in the low-cut top, which also clung on to her curves.
Following the group’s split in 2002, Kym went on to release her first solo album Standing Tall in 2003.
In the same year, she gave onlookers a glimpse of her pins and sensational physique in a backless ensemble at the Capital FM Awards.
Confidently posing in a black a floor-length gown alone, she beamed for the cameras, also showcasing her lower-back tattoo.
Three years later, Kym joined Coronation Street as Michelle Connor.
Kym’s alter ego has been at the centre of many controversial storylines since her time on the soap.
Just some of her most memorable storylines include, surviving a minibus crash, discovering that her son had been swapped at birth, and most recently being at the centre of the Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre) drama on her wedding day.
In her personal life, Kym has been married twice.
She exchanged vows with former EastEnders star Jack Ryder in 2002 and the pair divorced seven years later.
Kym later moved on with Jamie Lomas, before the pair split just two years later – the couple have two children together, son Archie and daughter Polly.
Kym also has two other children from a previous relationship.
The actress recently announced she had split from her partner Matt Baker, 27, after two years.
In her column with OK! Magazine, she said: “Sadly, the reports are true. We still care for each other, we’ll stay friends. I’m sure we’ll be a part of each other’s lives in the future.
“Now we each just want to focus on our families, our work and our friends as we move forward.”
