Stacey Solomon breaks silence with bold move after spotted without wedding ring
Stacey Solomon was photographed without her wedding ring leaving BBC studios but hours earlier posted an Instagram story showing she was wearing it amid ongoing marriage rumours with Joe Swash
Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have dominated headlines in recent weeks amid speculation surrounding their marriage. The television personality and former EastEnders star tied the knot in 2022 and share three children together.
Nevertheless, their relationship has come under scrutiny lately – with insiders suggesting their contrasting careers have driven a wedge between them. Stacey’s remarks in Joe’s recent videos promoting products on TikTok shop has only intensified rumours about tension between the couple, though Stacey frequently features Joe on her social media stories, seemingly dismissing the allegations.
In fresh photographs, Stacey was spotted without her wedding ring as she departed the BBC studios. Wearing a grey cardigan and staying cosy in a navy blue puffer jacket, Stacey’s wedding band was notably absent.
Yet, in a bold gesture, just hours before these images emerged, Stacey was photographed wearing her wedding ring whilst preparing for a packed day of thrilling meetings and appointments. Sharing on her Instagram story, her ring was clearly visible as she wished her followers well for the day.
Speculation about Joe and Stacey intensified when he attended the TV Choice awards without his spouse, where both were nominated for their documentary. Instead, stepson Zachary accompanied him to the ceremony, reports the Mirror.
The speculation about friction between the couple resurfaced when clips shared by Joe to advertise products included playful digs from Stacey regarding her husband’s sales technique.
“You look like a k***,” she remarked on one post. In the footage, he then declares: “Right, so this is a little segment I’m gonna call ‘Try Before You Buy’. I’m gonna try it before you lot buy it. If it works, I’ll let you know about it. If it’s a load of c***.”
From behind the camera, Stacey then interjects: “It looks like a load of c***.”
In another clip, he attempts to endorse a brand of shampoo and conditioner designed to combat hair loss, with Stacey audible in the background saying: “Give up the ghost, mate. Shave it off. I can tell you right now it ain’t gonna work.”
Upon hearing the cost, she then jokes: “You might as well get a hair transplant. By the time you’ve bought four of them, you could’ve gone to Turkey.”
Whilst Joe earns commission flogging products on TikTok shop, Stacey’s latest company filings reveal it was worth £10.1 million for 2025, a staggering rise from £7.4 million the year before.
Alongside her hit programmes including Sort Your Life Out, Stacey also boasts numerous partnerships and collections with brands such as Primark, George at Asda, jewellery label Abbott Lyon and haircare company REHAB. Joe and Stacey are candid about their relationship, acknowledging it’s not always smooth sailing.
Speaking about his wife on Loose Women last year, he said: “All year there is a pressure on me. If you are ever wondering what month of the year it is, just pop around my house and my door will tell you. If it’s summer we will have a summer display on.
“We just got rid of the Halloween display and Christmas is going up now. I feel like a good relationship is about knowing the strengths and weaknesses and one my weaknesses is getting involved. I like to take a step back because Stacey has got a vision and I’ll do the running around. Stacey is the site manager and I’m a tradie so I’ll be going to pick all the stuff up and Stacey makes it look beautiful. You know what they say, there is no I in the team.”
In September, the couple confessed they do bicker constantly. In their own documentary, she joked: “I think that’s obvious. I say it all the time on social media. He’s getting on my nerves. Or I’m ovulating so I fancy him.”
The duo also admitted their relationship isn’t flawless. She revealed: “Is there such a thing though? I think sometimes it’s really good and sometimes it’s really c*** ain’t it? I think sometimes, everyone’s looking for this perfect partner, when actually the perfect one is the one you want to kill half the time, and are in love with half the time.”
Asked how they maintain a happy marriage, Stacey added: “Fight it out, always have an argument if there’s something on your mind. The worst thing we could do, and the thing that splits us apart the most, is building resentment and not saying what we’re thinking. As soon as we have it out and say, ‘I hate this, this is p****** me off’, that’s when everything lets go and you can reset and start from zero to be back on the same page again.”
Stacey’s alleged ‘rift’ with Mrs Hinch has also made headlines following suggestions the pair are not as close as they once were. The duo previously engaged with each other online constantly but in recent months, they seem to have had no public exchanges.
Neither has addressed a possible falling out between them.
