Jess Wright & mum Carol apologise for ‘degrading’ comments about women in thong bikinis & admit ‘judgement was wrong’
Just days ago, the former TOWIE star, 40, her mother Carol, 65, and younger sister Natalya, 25, came under fire for a “degrading” conversation on their podcast about women’s swimwear.

8The trio branded thong bikinis “gross” and “unsexy” but have now taken “full accountability” for their thoughts.
Despite deleting the clip from the podcast’s Instagram page, the video was shared across TikTok with mass backlash towards the trio.
The conversation heard Jess say her husband William-Lee Kemp “hates” revealing bikini bottoms, while Carol said her husband Mark finds them “unsexy.”
Since causing uproar on social media, Jess, Carol and Natalya have issued a heartfelt apology and admitted their “judgement was wrong.”
An apology, which was posted on their Instagram stories, read: “In response to comments we made on our podcast.
“We’ve listened, we hear you and we want to say sorry.
“Our judgement was wrong and we take full accountability and will do better moving forward.
“Love Jess, Natalya & Carol.”
The apology comes just hours after Carol yet again found herself in hot water, amid unsaid tension brewing with Michelle Keegan.
The thong conversation with Carol, Natalya and Jess saw reality TV star Jess order women to “put it away.”
During the podcast episode, which was captioned, “Should thongs be allowed at the beach?”Jess took aim at the “unacceptable” behaviour of those who prefer wearing skimpy swimwear over anything more full coverage.
Mum-of-one Jess said: “I can’t stand how it’s acceptable to walk around a beach in a thong.”
To this, Natalya chimed in: “And do you know what’s worse? These girls that do wear them, fair enough if you’re going to wear them, at least if you’re going to bend over and put your towel on your bed, put like a sarong on.”
In response, Jess agreed: “It’s SO gross.”

8Carol then had her say and insisted: “What I don’t understand, I really do not think that this is not sexy for men to look at.”
Moments later, Jess chimed in: “Will cannot stand it. He goes to me, ‘I don’t understand how she thinks that that is attractive’.
“He’s like, ‘Put it away and leave something to the imagination!’ Who wants to see up their butts?”
Following this, Carol explained: “Me and Daddy were walking along the promenade and there were three girls in front of us and they were all different shapes and sizes, which is acceptable.
“But they had their whole a***s out and Daddy was looking and said, ‘It doesn’t even look sexy!’”
How to find a flattering bikini for any body type
According to Boux Avenue the best swimwear for pear body shapes is a high-cut swimsuit to add length to your legs.
For those with a straight body type, the underwear brand suggests a ruched swimwear option to create shape and emphasise your legs.
For hourglass curves, the brand suggests a strappy swimwear style, or triangle bikini.
For apple body shapes, an underwired bikini is best to work with your natural volume with a crinkle high-waist bikini brief.
For round body shapes, supportive cups are a must and a high-cut leg will add poise to your swimwear body pose.
While some agreed with the trio and slammed those who go to the beach “practically naked,” the thong comments caused uproar amongst fans.
One angrily snapped: “Have you considered that maybe girls who wear a thong on the beach simply don’t want a big white a**e when the rest of their bodies tan?”
A second wrote: “Tone deaf to even assume that women do this for the male gaze. Let people be.”
Meanwhile, someone else fumed: “It’s disgusting women still have to deal with other women tearing them down for their clothing choices.”Not only this, but one frustrated user penned: “With all the clips I keep seeing of Jess Wright & co degrading women for wearing a thong bikini on holiday, let this be your reminder that it’s YOUR life, YOUR body and you can do whatever YOU want.”
