Standing side by side in a show of unity last week, Victoria and David Beckham celebrated his knighthood, posting loved up pictures on social media as they enjoyed a lavish night out at close pal Gordon Ramsey’s restaurant.

Fans praised David, 50, and Victoria, 51, for ‘living their best life’ and described their family as ‘beautiful’. However, their joy was overshadowed when, just four days later, David’s alleged affair in the early 2000s came back to haunt them when his ‘mistress’ Rebecca Loos, caused a stir by posing naked in her home sauna.

With just a hand towel over her chest for cover, Rebecca, 48, posted the saucy snap to celebrate her 1000th post, adding, ‘And yes…he crafted this. With love. I know I got lucky’ – seemingly flaunting her own doctor husband, Sven Christjar Skaiaa.

Her selfie comes just seven months after Rebecca revisited her past in a TV interview with 60 Minutes Australia, which sparked headlines around the world and put the Beckhams biggest scandal very much back under the spotlight.

At the time, Rebecca refused to back down on her claims that she and the footballer had a ‘four-month-long affair’ in 2004, when she was working as his PA, calling her decision to ‘go 
up against’ him and Victoria ‘brave’

‘I have stuck to the truth. I’ve never exaggerated. I never lied about a single thing. Why? Because I’m going up against the strongest, most powerful couple in the media, who have all the money in the world for the best PR, the best lawyers. And all I had on my side was the truth,’ she insisted.

Football ace David, 49, has always strenuously denied that he cheated on fashion powerhouse Vic, branding the claims ‘ludicrous’ at the time, and simply referring to them as ‘horrible stories’ in his 2023 Netflix docuseries Beckham.

At the time we were told how Victoria had become increasingly enraged by Rebecca’s refusal to go away, and had even been weighing up a woman-to-woman meet-up to hash it out with her.

A source told us, ‘Vic’s convinced that Rebecca is hellbent on tearing them apart, and won’t be happy until she and David are divorced. She feels she needs to step in and do something drastic. Rebecca has a family herself, so Vic is hoping speaking to her one-to-one will convince her to stop talking about them.

‘Vic is at her wits’ end about what to do. She tries not to let it affect her and David, but it’s difficult not to feel anger towards him. No matter how much of a good place they’re in now, Rebecca seems to pop up when they least expect it with more bombshells, throwing their marriage into chaos.’

And Rebecca’s recent raunchy display couldn’t have come at a worse time for her and David, after her own Netflix debut, Victoria Beckham, received rave reviews, with her candid confessions about her family life catapulting her and David to global ‘golden couple’ status.

But there’s no doubt that Rebecca, who previously told us she has been left ‘burnt’ by her past, is always in the wings to tarnish that trophy.

The former glamour model– who is now
a yoga and meditation teacher living in Norway with her husband and their two sons, Magnus and Liam – started working as David’s PA in summer 2003 after his transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid.

Her role was terminated 
a few months later, and in April 2004, Rebecca gave a bombshell interview to News Of The World in which she alleged an affair with David.

At the time, he and Victoria had been married for almost five years and shared Brooklyn, now 26, and Romeo, now 23. 
They went on to have 
Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.

In the 60 Minutes Australia interview, Rebecca claimed the affair started after David invited her back to a hotel where he was staying after a 
night out. Victoria was out of town at the time and Rebecca says she ‘finally gave in’.

Although Rebecca wasn’t named directly in David’s acclaimed four-part Netflix series, he and Victoria did allude to the fact that they were going through a tumultuous time in their marriage, leading Rebecca to slam David’s ‘poor me’ mentality in response.

In the series, Victoria referred to that time as the ‘most unhappy I’ve ever been in my entire life’ adding, ‘It felt like the world was against us.’

But perhaps the most shocking revelation was her admission, ‘We were against each other if I’m being completely honest.’

And it seems that Rebecca’s presence in the public sphere could be something Victoria may always be forced to overcome.

With a growing social media presence, Rebecca also returned to screens in August when she appeared on Celebrity SAS Who Dares Wins. And ahead of entering the show, Rebecca told us that she’s no longer willing to shy away from the limelight because of what people may say about her.

‘I’m used to bad press. There’s always good press and there’s always bad press,’ she told us at the time.

‘There are people who like you, people who don’t like you. I’m not bothered by the people who don’t like me. It used to get to me when I was younger, but now I know you can’t please everyone.’

There’s certainly no doubt that her name will definitely be wiped off of the Beckhams’ Christmas card list.
