HER own marriage could arguably rival an explosive soap storyline, dogged by cheating scandals and crisis talks.

But now, after 13 years together, EastEnders favourite Jacqueline Jossa is finally having her personal “doof doof” moment — as she calls it quits with husband Dan Osborne.

The actress, 33, has become known for repeatedly reconciling with her other half — despite his flaws.

Their marriage has been rocked by multiple cheating allegations against Dan, who admitted in 2020: “I’ve made mistakes.”

However, having given their relationship multiple chances, friends claim Jac has accepted it is doomed after living separate lives for months.

It is a dramatic ending worthy of the famous drumbeat that concludes each cliffhanger EastEnders episode.

A source close to Dan told The Sun: “Everyone knows they’ve had their troubles, but after spending some time apart this year, they’ve decided to make the split permanent.

“Their two daughters are their main priority.”

It’s claimed former Towie star Dan moved out permanently last month into the house he was said to have bought behind Jac’s back in 2024.

His “secret” Essex pad came to light after the on-off couple announced last March that they had split. The following month, they appeared to rekindle their marriage on a “make or break” family holiday to Mexico.

In a surprise plot twist, friends say Dan has experienced doubts about going through with the divorce — but Jacqueline stood her ground.

Our insider revealed: “After all Jac’s been through, she’s finally had enough. They’ve been living separate lives all this year and she’s over it.

“There’s only so many times she can put herself through living in limbo and taking him back.

“She has mentally checked out and Dan has panicked.

“He’s worried the grass isn’t greener and has had the shock of his life that he’s pushed Jac too far this time.”

In recent weeks, the couple had unfollowed each other on social media.

However, when approached by The Sun about their marriage ending, the pair re-followed one another.

Jac’s pal said: “It feels too good to be true that she’s finally seen the light, but they’ve both been telling friends it’s over.

“It seemed impossible, but she’s starting to accept not being Dan’s wife and just Jacqueline.

“Her confidence has come flooding back and she’s happier than she’s been in a long time. Jacqueline’s also throwing herself in to work and enjoying every moment being the best mum she can be.

“Life is short — she’s determined not to waste it.”

Jacqueline, who has daughters Ella, 11, and Mia, seven, with Dan, first joined Albert Square in 2010, aged 17, as bolshy Lauren Branning.

She left the show in 2018 and, the following year, won I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!

The star kept her hand in with guest appearances on EastEnders, before confirming her full-time return in 2023.

She was thrilled to be nominated for best dramatic performance at last year’s National Television Awards — losing out to co-star Steve McFadden, who plays Phil Mitchell.

It followed her powerful performance in the soap as Lauren dealt with a painkiller addiction and her newborn son’s sight impairment.

Meanwhile, off-screen, Jacqueline has been overhauling her lifestyle, which has seen her drop two dress sizes without the lure of fad diets or weight-loss injections.

Instead, she banned herself from eating the kids’ leftovers — feeding them to the family dog instead.

And she has been spending quality time with her friends at the gym.

Her revival has given her a new sense of self, loved ones say. Our source explained: “Her friends are all so pleased for her. They’ve been begging her to ditch Dan for years.

“She’s spent years looking after her kids, dealing with whatever scandal to hit Dan and she had forgotten about herself.

“Going back to work has given her purpose and fulfilment and helped her find the strength she needed to see life after Dan.”

The couple tied the knot at Delamere Manor, in Cheshire, in 2017 and appeared in a glossy photoshoot for OK! magazine.

But their marriage has been a rollercoaster.

While Jacqueline is described by those around her as “a sweet, kind and loyal soul”, her turbulent relationship has undoubtedly caused distress over the years — and made her appear a “walkover”.

Dan’s alleged womanising even threatened to destroy her shining moment on I’m A Celeb, when she threatened to quit after campmate Myles Stephenson told her he believed Dan had cheated on her with Love Island star Gabby Allen.

Jac informed producers that she did not want to stay on the show without talking to Dan, and she was allowed to leave the jungle temporarily to send him a voicemail and receive one back.

Dan and Gabby both strongly denied the cheating claim, though he did later admit: “I’ve made mistakes. I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done.”

We told last summer how Dan and Christine McGuinness had exchanged flirty texts — with model Christine saying he had joined her for raucous nights out that helped lift her spirits after her split from radio and TV host husband Paddy.

Dan insisted nothing happened romantically between them. But in recent weeks, there has been a shift in Dan and Jac’s marriage.

Our insider said: “Jacqueline and Dan haven’t been posting about each other online.

“Recently, any interaction with Dan on socials has been non- existent, but they have both kept posting pictures of their kids online at the same events to give the impression all is well.”

Insiders claimed in January that the couple were living apart despite their reconciliation last year, with Dan taking the unusual decision to keep hold of his own pad.

His friend said: “They don’t want to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing it hasn’t worked.

“They’ve always tried their utmost to play happy families, no matter what’s going on behind closed doors.”
