Cristiano Ronaldo’s fiancée, Georgina Rodriguez, stirred online debate with her red carpet appearance at the Venice International Film Festival, where her posing style drew mixed reactions.

On August 31 (local time), Georgina walked the red carpet for the Filming Italy Venice Award — an event honoring cinematic talent, especially women. She wore a black, lace, form-fitting gown paired with a striking set of diamond jewelry, including her engagement ring from Ronaldo.

The ring, featuring a 30-carat diamond estimated at $3 million, became the focal point of her poses. Georgina appeared to highlight the ring repeatedly during photos, which prompted a wave of public commentary.

Some social media users felt her gestures were overly deliberate, while others defended her confidence and excitement about the engagement. Discussions also extended to her styling, with differing opinions about her dress and glam.
This marked Georgina’s first public appearance in Venice since announcing her engagement to Ronaldo on August 12. She had first showcased the ring in a photo of her hand resting on Ronaldo’s, captioned, “Yes I do. In this life and the next.”
Georgina and Ronaldo have been together since late 2016, after meeting at the Gucci store where she worked. They share two daughters, Alana (2017) and Bella (2022), and had twin babies in 2021, though their son tragically passed away at birth.
